''Whoa...thats a pretty nice terrace.''Aslan commented as both he and Aliyah entered through the big wooden door on the top floor of the mansion.
He took in the view of a plain wooden polished floor with some exclusive marble tilling along the black iron railing of the terrace ends.
A gush of cold wind blew in their faces through the open terrace which had a cloudy sky that showed no signs of any stars or moon.
It started drizzling again, indicating that soon a raging storm was to come.
Aliyah walked further on to the terrace floor and passed the two large white stone seats that were carved with great intricacy.
Between the two large marble chairs lay an equally impressive circular table.
The creme coloured table had a single potted plant placed at its centre.
It had a dazzling white flower bloomed on it.
Somehow, the plant was like any other natural thing that existed over earth, although that one flower blooming over it changed it all.
Aslan stared in awe at that flower.
Inhalling its deep perfume, reminded him not of any thing that ever took place in his life and yet it aroused a reminiscent memory that was a complete blur.
''Take a seat.''
Came Aliyah's voice from front of him.
She was standing at the black railing holding a peculiar creature in hand.
A bird.No...surely it can't be a bird!...It looks like a cat! I agree I wasn't all that good in Biology at school or college but not being able to identify a very, very normal animal!...Thats outlandish!
Aliyah placed the animal down as it extended a paw and untied a brown paper from it with its beak.
How ironic does it sound?...'It untied a paper on its PAW with a BEAK!!
"Its a Felis Haliaeetus."
Judging from Aslan's surprised expression she quickly informed."Felis Hali-what?he asked bewildered.
"Commonly known as- 'Eagat' "
"So...this Eagat thing is what we saw earlier from the kitchen window."Aslan confirmed.
On being called a 'thing',the eagat made a disapproving sound from its throat, which in Aslan's opinion sounded somewhat of a constipated cat and an eagle mixed together.
It had a cat's body covered in dark brown fur, with an eagle's head perched atop, that had sharp eyes and a pointy yellow beak.
On its back were folded dark black brown wings that had water droplets soaked in them due to the night's rain.
It had the claws of a tiger instead of a normal domestics cat's.
"Yeah...looks cuddly, doesn't she?" Aliyah asked Aslan with a derisive snort.
"Yeah, sure." he replied in a mock tone.
"Come on,you can relax. She really is a good pet, doesn't bite till you upset her."Aliyah replied with a hint of smile tugging her lips.
She softly patted the eagat's head who appreciated it with a purr while still looking perfectly harmfull with a long killer eagle beak.
Hurriedly she unfurled the brown paper getting rid of its strings and silently read it.
Her face bare of any expression.
Aslan was busy gawking at the absurd creature,he didn't notice Aliyah reading the brown letter.
