"Grandma I'm home!' Roseabella says  the smell of hot coco invading her senses

She comes in her shoes that were once the purest color of white a now muddy brown. Her once tamed and straight dark brown hair, now a curly tangled mess. The hood she had on provided no useful help. Her clothes complete soaked and mascara running down her cheeks.

All together she looked a mess

She strips the outer layer of clothing. leaving her only in a cropped tank top, tight fitted biker shorts and no socks.

She goes into the bathroom and takes a quick shower. putting on a pair of gray joggers and a black tank top she steps out of the bathroom and into the kitchen.

On the kitchen island she sees two mugs of coco, whipped cream and marshmallows.

"Go on into the living room" Grandma Justina says as she starts to pile whipped cream into the mugs. "I'll bring it in."

Her grandmother comes in with a cup of steaming hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate marshmallows on top.

"I'm assuming that your back so late because you were hoping id be asleep, so you could avoid this whole conversation" Grandma Justina says while sitting down in the chair across from Roseabella.

"Guess I'm all out of luck aren't I?" Roseabella responds with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"Roseabella what I'm about to tell is very important and it would be best if you would listen. And I mean actually listen." Grandma Justina says with a very stern voice.

"What I'm about to tell you is about the survival of an entire race. A race that you a apart of." Justina says with a serious tone in her voice.

At this Roseabella's smirk falls and is replaced with a look of questioning.

"What are you talking about? The only race that exist is the human race. Right?" Roseabella questions even though she is sure the answer is right.

"No." Justina states simply

"There are about 50 other races but I am talking about only 1. The were wolves." Justina states the look on her face telling Roseabella that she was dead  serious.

"Once a werewolf turns 18 they experience their first shift, and they can identify their mate. You are going to go through the change, since it is your 18th birthday. It will be extremely painful. And after tonight I will be sending you to the Fort Onai Pack. They are going to help you make the transition from being normal to being a werewolf."

"Once every twenty years there is a blue moon. Any she wolf pregnant the night of the full moon will lose the child. we don't know why but it happened. Up until you were born. Roseabella Virginia Evonik you are the only child to have ever been born on a blue moon." Justina says searching the electric blue eyes of Alessia, for any hint of emotion. The only one she found was pain.

Seemingly out of no where Roseabella lets' out a painful scream.

SHIT. " Justina says as she ushers Roseabella out the front door and into a clearing not to far away from the house

"Your shifting. don't fight it, if you do the pain will increase by the tenfold."

Roseabella let out another scream this time tumbling to the ground. Soon after she started sobbing. Every bone in her body felt as if it was shattering then being rebuilt but in a different position than what the were in originally.

She closed her eyes and felt her body being moved. The coolness of the rain doing nothing to diminish the fire that burned through her veins. The fire that felt like it was burning her from the inside out.

She let out another scream but this time it sounded more like a dying crow. All the screaming she did taking a toll on her vocal cords.

She opened her mouth to scream again as she felt herself drop to the ground, but nothing came out.

The pain seemed to be never ending, she opened her eyes and looked down and saw claws coming from where her fingernails should be. Her hands that now looked like paws had fur sprouting from them, the fur spread all the way up her arms. She tried let out another scream again nothing came out. Her face began to hurt as her mouth reshaped itself into a snout. She closed her eyes and opened them again but this time she was seeing things in a different light.

The rain had stopped and she looked around. The fire she felt inside no longer raging. She could see so deep in the forest that it seemed unreal. She saw raindrops drip from one leaf onto the next. Every color seemed more vibrant. She sniffed the air and was instantly overwhelmed. The smell of rain most prominent, but she could smell the mud on the ground, and the ever so enchanting smell of the forest. Its seemed to be calling out to her. Like the forest wanted her to run into it and never return.

And so she ran.

When she returned she felt different.

She shifted into her human form and put on some clothes that her grandmother gave her.

The burning sensation of her shift  had not left, but still it lingered. The fire that was burning her insides, only a bare simmer now.

A fire that she thought she had buried many years ago.
