—————They all stood there, looking between each other as Jungkooks face became redder and redder. He tried to laugh it off, but the boys just eyed the girl suspiciously as she shrunk back in herself.
"Jungkook," she whispered over to him, "I really don't feel good... I'm just gonna g-"
A microwave beep interrupted her. Jin sprinted into the kitchen with his pink apron waving around as he did. "Darling, you should stay! Foods ready!" He pulled out the rice and added it to the bowls before setting the food on the table.
Everyone sat down in their seats, each boy knowing exactly where they were situated at the gathering. Jungkook was at the very end, and it went up in age order to Jin at the top of the table. He referenced to the seat on the corner next to Jungkook, so she walked over and sat down.
Immediately, everyone started to dig in. There was loud chatter and rap battles and dad jokes all being told at once as they chewed and munched their food. Jungkook joined in a little, before watching the girl as she pushed the meat around her plate.
"You dont like it?" He nudged her side carefully.
"I just, don't feel like myself." Mi couldn't help but have the thoughts of blaming herself. She felt vulnerable and even dared to think she was asking for it because she was wearing a skirt. She wasn't herself, and all the feministic values had flown out of her head.
"Mi your gonna be okay. What happened was horrible, but it won't happen again." He held her hand briefly under the table in the moment of weakness. "I'm here for you."
Mi just nodded, taking back her hand and shoving a spoon of rice in her mouth. It didn't take long for them to all finish their meals, and most of the boys had warmed up to the girl. She answered every question they threw at her and they already could tell she wasn't interested in how famous they were.
The boys were just people to her, and they like that she treated them each like that.
"So, Mi-sun..." Jimin started as Jin and Namjoon cleared the plates up. "Who do you play as in overwatch?"
For the first time in the afternoon, Mi smiled openly. "Widowmaker always."
Everyone in the room gasped, looking among each other and laughing between themselves. Mi could only stare, she wasn't part of this family. She couldn't exchange thoughts telekinetically like they could. Mi looked to Jungkook for answers, he also smiled.
"I only play as widowmaker too..." he looked over to the boys giggling, "let's go.."
"No," Mi grabbed Jungkook arm as he attempted to get up. "I think I need this, a distraction. Please."
The boy just nodded, and they sat back down. Jimin and Taehyung continued interview the girl with silly questions as they all chatted amongst themselves. Even the older boys got involved, questioning Mi on weird subjects such as fruit to ufos.
"So, do you believe in God?" Namjoon spoke up for the first time, taking off his black framed glasses and looking her sternly in the eyes.
"I don't want to offend anyone, after all it's a personal opinion and if you believe in faith then that's your choice and I support it..." they all waited for her answer. "But no. The amount of cruelty in the world as well as the vast amount of injustice is phenomenal. I don't think humans can even comprehend what 'made us', like an ant can't comprehend what the English language is or how to play overwatch."
""There are too many coincidences like the perfect amount of gravity or how the moon is just the right size to cover the sun completely at a certain time in the year. But it can't have been a creator like we imagine one, so I guess I'm sort of an atheist." Everyone glared in shock. She really had just talked a whole bunch. "...sorry that was-"
"No I completely agree!" Namjoon stood up and walked over to Mi. "All the boys are Christian, no one has ever shared my view." He ran away and came back with some sheets of paper. "These are some song lyrics I've been working on, what do you think!"
He shoved the lyrics and sheet music in her face. At this point, Mi had forgotten about the past of this morning. Right now acceptance was all she felt, and she couldn't be happier to read through. "So, is this a piano melody?" Her eyes scanned the music notes in a familiar glaze.
"Yes yes, it's called DNA. I wanted to make it about fate, with out rubbing religion in people faces. It's just a demo though, the boys havnt seen it yet." He point to some parts of the scruffily drawn music notes, "a soft song."
Mi liked this. Namjoon was crouched next to her as the rest of the boys spied in confusion. She felt important, and the crave to be excepted even more into this wonderful family. "You guys have a piano?"
"...Erm Ye we do-"
"Why." Yoongi stood up. His eyes would rival Jungkook cold glare on a bad day. They were incredibly dark compared to his pale complexion. "You play?"
"A little..." they all stood up and followed Namjoon into Yoongis messy studio. There, sat a dusty brown piano in the corner than looked as old as the whole kpop industry. It was warn and dark and unusually welcoming.
Mi lashed out the sheet music and sat on the wobbly stool. She took a deep breath in, trying to remember how the notes sounded. It had been at least ten years since she was last forced to play, but music never leaves you. As soon as she pressed the first key, it all came back.
Namjoon hummed behind her, pointing to the lyrics for the other as she did so. But before she even reach the chorus, she felt Yoongis arm tap her shoulder. He stared down at her with an unreadable expression. His small hand reach out and gestures to her legs.
"May I?" Mi nodded happily, and with a grunt he sat next to her and played a backing while she took the melody. It sounded beautiful. After a while, one by one each member dropped out the room to bed. Soon it was just Yoongi and Mi, with Jungkook asleep on a chair behind them. "I'm tired. Thanks... see ya."
And he left as quick as he came. Now it was just her and Jungkook. He seemed to have woken up when Yoongi slammed the door on his way out. He sleepily rubbed his eyes while his bed head wafted around with his movement.
"Sorry, I've been here a while." Mi stood up and grabbed her bag. "I'll get going."
Yawn. "Sure I'll" yawn. "Come with y-" yawn. "You now." He stumbled to his feet with his eyelids barely open.
"You're obviously sleepy. I'll go on my own..." Mi was scared, but she cared for the boy.
"No!" He sprang to life and grabbed her arm. "Your not going home alone in the dark. Never. Just, I dunno, stay here." In a nervous state his eyes trailed down.
"Maybe..." she saw the darkness emitting from the half covered window. "I could nap on the couch."
He scratched his head. "No, that's where Yeotan sleeps. No one can even sit there when she lseep with out being attack with licks..." his sight was fully of nervousness. "M-my room?"
Mi almost chocked on her own saliva. "Your bedroom,
As in, sleep with- with you?"
