Lux Bonteri was surprised by Padme Amidala's arrival at the mansion. He knew the Senator somewhat well, having met her several times in childhood. How they had gotten there during the war, he had no idea.
"Lux! Come down here and help our guests with their luggage, please."
He strutted down the white staircase gracefully, taking the suitcase from the senator's pale, delicate hand.
"Please, allow me." he said with a bright smile.
He wasn't prepared, however, for Amidala's companion.
The moment seemed to drag into a thousand as he saw a young togruta girl, a few inches shorter than himself. She was certainly dressed oddly. A tight-fitting dress, high boots, brown leggings, and elbow-length gloves. She couldn't have been too much younger, not with the clear swell of her hips and the curve of her chest. Orange skin, dark blue stripes bright against her pale montrals. Long lashes framed her giant, electric-blue eyes, which avoided his gaze constantly. Her plush brown lips looked so enticing, even in the stony scowl she shot him.
Ignoring her anger, Lux flashed her a charming smile. "May I?" he said, reaching for her suitcase.
Their hands brushed for a moment, one that sent a shock through his body. Even gloved, her hands were delicate and perfect.
"I can handle it." she growled.
Their eyes locked for a moment, pure anger in hers. He returned her stony gaze expressionlessly. Well, she's a bit... snippy, isn't she?
