"Lux, why are you staring at me?"
"I wouldn't say staring." he replied dreamily. "Just....admiring."
Ahsoka raised a white brow. "You seem more confident now, Bonteri."
"Oh, no. I'm terribly nervous." replied Lux. "But you seem to have distracted me from it."
The togruta felt heat rise to her cheeks, the dress suddenly feeling rather tight. Why did she agree to this? Why was she having dinner with a Separatist? And force, why was he so attractive?!
She jolted to a soft touch on her wrist. Lux's hand was reaching across the table, pale fingertips resting on her arm. "Ahsoka?" whispered Lux. "You drifted off. Am I making you uncomfortable?"
Ahsoka shook her head, sighing. "I'm fine, Lux."
He smiled gently. "No, something's wrong." he whispered. "What is it?"
Ahsoka met his soft, reassuring eyes. How could he make her feel so calm with a mere gaze? He was so easy to trust.
"It's just.....I never pictured myself on Raxus." she replied cautiously. "Right in the belly of the beast, and I'm actually having a nice time."
Lux chuckled. "Belly of the beast, indeed."
She rolled her eyes at him. "Lux, I don't mean you." she replied. "You've been welcoming, and kind. I just didn't see Raxus as a place I could be happy."
He laughed again.
"Raxus isn't as bad as you think, Ahsoka." said Lux. "People are happy here."
She didn't respond.
Lux got up, moving to her side of the table. He took her hand. "Come. Let me show you something."

Ahsoka followed Lux blindly, letting his hand and the sound of his voice guide her. "Lux, the blindfold is a little unnecessary, wouldn't you say?" she muttered.
"I'm not letting you peek!" he joked.
He didn't have to worry about that. The cloth was almost opaque, more than enough to obscure her vision. Lux's hand in hers was the only guide she had on the path.
The sound of a door opening, then Ahsoka felt the cool night's air wash over her. She shivered a little. The dress Padme had given her was not made for the temperature. Style over function, she guessed.
"Careful, we're on stairs now." whispered Lux.
She made her way down easily, hindered a little by Lux's constant worry that she would trip or fall. She could almost see him, arms outstretched, ready in case she fell.
Ahsoka held back a smirk as she slyly stepped the wrong way. She felt herself fall and feigned a surprised gasp, waiting for his reaction. It came as expected.
"AHSOKA, CAREFUL!!!"
She felt his arms close frantically around her, but her weight was just a bit much for the young separatist. They fell together to the foot of the stairs, a grunt coming from Lux at the impact. She stayed limp in his arms, stifling a grin.
The warmth of him against her was comforting, a tentative hand coming to rest on her back. "Ahsoka? Ahsoka, are you all right?!"
The mischievous Padawan burst out in laughter, rolling off Lux onto the ground next to him. Still blindfolded, but could almost hear Lux's expression of surprise.
"Why, you sneaky little Nexu." he exclaimed.
"I couldn't help myself!" replied Ahsoka, choking with laughter. "You know I can walk down stairs by myself, right?"
"Fine then." teased Lux. "Guess I won't show you the surprise then......"
"Bonteri, get back here!"
