It had been a few days since Verde had returned and asked all the Arcobaleno to gather. He and Harry had spent 9 whole years trying to decipher the Atlantean totem, Death had left them or rather left for Harry on his birthday 10 years ago. It took many tries and visits to historical sites and specialist, by Verde to get even an inkling of how to read the ancient, dead language, however at the end it was worth it and the Arcobaleno could now boast about having a "Mastery" over a dead language. It did not just stay between them of course. Tsuna somehow found out and the kids literally begged to be taught the language as well. Verde blames the Vongola intuition for that one. Harry didn't mind and took over tutoring them on Atlantean. The celebration of that was however short lived as they realized, the curse they were under wasn't an ordinary one.

Verde, 'It was an enslavement curse! It just had to be.... Damn! Harry had cursed in English, Latin and French when he recognized what it was. It was pretty impressive to hear him curse and make all of us blush. While it doesn't mind control us, it certainly controlled our Flames and physical body and that is just as bad as mind control. The only positive is that the person who could control them is the Sky not the one who cursed them.'

Verde sighed, he didn't know what he would have done if Checkerface controlled them. According to the totem, the curse was originally created as punishment for trouble makers and criminals. They would be bound to the entire Earth, using three Flame items and their Flames would be used as fuel to feed the planet and keep it healthy. The Sky Arcobaleno or the Harmony doesn't survive long because of the strain on the Flames, which are siphoned from them at a fast rate not only by the planet but also by the other elements. And the other elements slowly follow, the Storm followed by Rain and Lightning  followed by the Cloud then the Mist and finally the Sun.

But as time went by the original knowledge was forgotten and it became a repetitive process where people would be chosen to sacrifice themselves for "The Greater Good" of the future. Harry wanted to punch Checkerface's face so bad, then use the nastiest pranks on that idiotic man. He hadn't calmed down for a whole week and it took a joint effort of spars and distractions for him to finally cool off. One thing however was surely confirmed, in the minds of the Arcobaleno after that week, their Sky was no weak civilian, he was a war veteran. It had pleased Reborn, Fon and Colonello greatly to spar with Harry, without holding back.

Flashback:

The training ground that Harry had created outside of Namimori was littered with marks of an intense fight. Harry had matched in the one on one spars with Fon and Skull. Reborn and Colonello had fought with Harry in a full on weapons spar, before switching to Flames and Magic. It was very refreshing to not hold back for all of them and to just let go. Verde had decided to sit back and watch as they let out all their anger and frustration out on the warded field.

Reborn, "You have been holding back on us, mi amore~"

Verde, "Your magic is impressive in battle, but your hand to hand combat is also not a joke. I must agree with Reborn here, Harry love, you have been holding back."

Harry smirked, "Come now! I didn't survive a war just being a goody two shoes you know. I have fought, I have lead, I have killed, I have conquered, I have survived, I'm no innocent, my hands have the blood of my enemies on them."

Fon looked between Harry and Skull in contemplation, "Indeed! And I must say that the fact you still have held on to your sanity and not snapped on us goes to show your strength not just in physical battle but also in mind. Also you have been practicing together, weren't you."

Skull grins, "Yup! Everytime baking or writing didn't help, Skull-sama would drag Harry to have a spar and tire him out so he could sleep. There was the added bonus of Harry relearning his moves."

Colonello, "What? Why didn't you invite me Kora? I would have joined you too."

Harry laughed, "Come now Nello, you are here now right? I'll make sure to invite you to spar whenever you are here."

Reborn, "Speaking of spar~ Shall we get back to ours mi amore?"

Harry got up from where he was sitting with a dark gleam in his eyes, "Of course Ren."

(Author here: I'm not going to go into details of the spar! It would take forever to finish!)

And just like that they got back to having another spar. Once Verde had made sure Harry had cooled down, he had announced his plan to look for the Flame based items that were mentioned in the ancient totem.

Harry, "Should you be going on your own for this? What if Checkerface notices?"

Verde, "Don't worry Harry! I have always had the habit of searching out new things and projects. He won't notice anything different even if he looked into us. Besides I have a plan."

Harry, "Alright! Just make sure to stay in contact with one of us. I don't want to hunt you down magic, flames and guns blazing just because I got worried."

Verde agreed to always stay in contact with at least one of them knowing quite well Harry would do as he said.

Flashback end!

Now here Verde was waiting for his teammates, friends, family, to join him. He found out some interesting things about the items and he dreaded to think how the rest of the Arcobaleno would react to it, specially Reborn and Lal. Verde rubbed his head just thinking about their reactions to this. He wasn't even going to think about how his Sky would react when he learns about the second item. It wouldn't be pretty considering this would not only affect them but also those around them. To make it worse only two of the items were known and existing, the third item, who knows where it was. He looked high and low for it but nothing. Not a peep! Like it disappeared from existence the moment Atlantis disappeared. Things were going to get truly chaotic around here.

Even without the spar this chapter became really long. I had to break it into two parts. I'll post the other one soon.
