A couple weeks had passed since the date and I still hung out with the guys whenever I could. They were awesome, and I was starting to get closer with all of them. I started to miss Jose less and less and started hanging out with Keirra and Ericka more often. I still called Jose whenever I could, and I was glad to know that she had made a bunch of new friends in Paris. Everything was working out just fine.

I didn't have any plans for the day, so I decided that I would just get ready and see what happened. After doing my hair and makeup and grabbing a quick breakfast, I put on a pair of Mom jeans, and a tight pink short sleeve crop top that just reached the top of my jeans. I also put on my Adidas Superstars before grabbing my purse and a Polaroid camera. Before I left I grabbed my scrunching and pulled it back on my wrist and I was on my way.

My keys jingled in my purse as I made my way down the stairs, saying hello to Mrs. Norbert from apartment 5A. When I made it to my car, I unlocked it and got in the drivers seat, throwing my purse onto the seat next to me. I pulled out of the parking lot and made my way down to the Sunset Strip, because, where else was there to go around here? Okay, sorry, there's a lot of places to go around here, but the Strip was the closest, and there was more to do there!

I turned up the radio and heard On With the Show by Mötley Crüe playing, and immediately turned it up, singing along to Vince Neil's voice,

"Frankie died,

"Just the other night,"

"Some say it was suicide,"

"But we know,

"How the story goes"

"With his six string knife"

"And his street wise pride"

"The boy was a man, before his time"

"And she knew"

"All their dreams would come true"

Right after the second verse of the song, I pulled into a parking spot on the Strip and got out of the car, slamming the door closed behind me. I got out and grabbed only my keys and some money from my purse, not wanting to carry the whole thing the camera just yet. I took my sunglass as well before locking my car and making my way down the street. I put my sunglasses on and my money in my pocket as I watched the cars drive down the road and the people walk down the sidewalk.

I was never brave enough to come down to the Strip when I was in high school, I was always too scared that I would be kidnapped or cat called, or worse. But when I moved closer to it after high school, I realized that it wasn't so bad, and it slowly began to become my home.

I shoved my hands deep into the pockets of my jeans as I walked down the sidewalk, passed all the couples walking hand in hand and passed all the tourists with cameras around their necks and their children in strollers. I was walking for a little while when I heard a voice from behind me,

"Hey! Sophia!" Called the voice. It almost sounded like...

"Slash!" I called back after turning around. I walked over to him and gave him a hug,

"Hey! What are you doing here?" He asked, smiling. He looked great, as usual.

He was wearing a black, 'Wasted Youth' tee shirt and black ripped jeans with his favorite black converse. His unruly curls were shiny and fell over his eyes as usual.

"Well, I didn't have any plans today so I thought I'd just take a walk downtown the Strip. Maybe pop in a few stores. Beats hanging around my stupid apartment all day." I said, rolling my eyes.
