About a month had passed since my family visited, and the guys were getting ready for the tour. I still hadn't made my decision, and I didn't have a lot of time left. Hell House was a mess. There were suitcases and bags and clothes everywhere, and the guys weren't anywhere near being ready. We had about a week before the tour bus came to pick up the guys, and I was pounding the pavement trying to figure out what to do.

One night I picked up Ericka's shift, and I had to go in. I got ready and drove to the restaurant. Little did I know, this shift was going to take a turn for the worst. Maybe I should've changed my clothes. Maybe it was my fault that this happened to me. Did I provoke this? I was only wearing a cropped black halter top and black ripped jeans with a flannel shirt tied around my waist, was that really so revealing?

My shift went pretty smooth for the first couple hours, but it was around nine o'clock when things went south. I was wiping down a table when I heard my manager, Ben, calling my name,

"Hey Sophia?" He called, "Can you come over here a minute?"

"Yeah, sure." I responded, walking into his office, "What's up?"

"Well, I've been wanting to talk to you about your recent work ethic." He said, leaning against his desk. I raised an eyebrow,

"My work ethic? Um... With all do respect, Ben, I take a lot of pride in my work and I like to believe I do my job very well. What's wrong with my work ethic?" I asked, crossing my arms. Ben laughed,

"No, it's not that... It's just, you've been working... very hard lately. I thought you could use some relaxation time..." He said, stepping closer to me. I raised an eyebrow,

"No no, I'm good, thank you. Actually, I um... I think I should actually get back to work, my shifts almost over and I'm sure my tables are getting angsty." I said, backing away. He stepped closer,

"Come on Soph, you really do deserve some time to relax." He said, getting a little too close for comfort.

He practically backed me into a corner, putting his hand on the desk behind me and blocking me in. I shoved past him,

"Really, Ben. I don't think this is very professional. I'm gonna get back to work." I said, turning to face him after I walked to the door. He came back over,

"Come on, Sophia. I know you feel it too." He said, coming closer again. He stood right in front of me and put a hand on my waist, "Don't you want to be with me?" He asked, his voice in a low whisper. I shoved him off of me,

"Take a hint, asshole." I snapped, opening the door as his back hit the desk behind him. He laughed,

"You know, I could fire you right now." He said, standing up straight again,

"You don't have the guts to fire me. I'm the best waitress in this hell hole." I said, loudly.

The dining room got quiet and I felt everyone's eyes burning into me. I stepped outside the doorway,

"You walk out that door, and you're fired!" Ben shouted, walking towards me,

"I'm already out the door, dipshit! Good freaking luck finding another waitress that will do as good of a job as me, you jerk. I quit!" I yelled, throwing my apron on the ground.

Ben yelled something after me as I walked through the restaurant. It was as if I was walking in slow motion, I was making my way towards the door of freedom. I stoped in front of the hostess stand and picked up the pitcher of water and turned to see Ben chasing me,

"Screw you, Ben." I said, pouring the water over his head and dropping the pitcher on the floor.

I walked out the door to my car and drove home, feeling more free than I did when I graduated high school. As I jammed out to the Scorpions song playing in my car, the realty  of the situation hit me like a train,
