Travis and I were sitting at the table again. I was drawing, but Travis was just staring angrily at Will. I believe he's still hooked on whatever he saw in the basement earlier. I think it's kinda rude he won't let Will have hobbies with his friends.
"Here you two go! I got you both some nice, fresh Kool-Aid from the batch I made this morning. Thank you for waiting so patiently!" Will gave a nice, reaffirming smile as he slid two Solo cups filled with the juice towards us.
Before I could do anything, Travis just swatted the cups right off the table, juice in them and all. They splashed against the floor, and he just kept staring at Will. He even dragged me closer to him.
"Goodness, Travis, what's got you all upset today? Do you need anything?" He shot Travis a concerned look as he went to go pick up the cups from the floor.
Travis just sneered at him. "Why do you smell like dead bodies?" he remarked nonchalantly.
"That's a pretty rude way to say I need to shower," he scoffed, getting some paper towels from the roll to sop up the mess.
Travis glared at him some more before dragging me closer to him again. I was out of reach from my drawing, so I gave up and let it be. "No. You smell like actual corpses. It's not a shower thing. You smell like you just slaughtered five people in the basement."
That caught Will's attention, and he looked up from where he was cleaning up the Kool-Aid. Then, he started chuckling. "Don't worry. I was just practicing my religion with a few of my buddies down there. I might've gotten some dead rat musk on me while I was moving things around."
"...Mmm," Travis groaned, watching Will throw away the purple-stained paper towels. He seemed very doubtful of Will's alibi."...Could I please have another cup of Kool-Aid?" I asked timidly. Sure, Travis was being suspicious, but I still wanted some Kool-Aid.
Will nodded and got some more out of the fridge. "Let's just hope Travis doesn't throw it on the floor this time, yeah?" he chuckled, pouring the beverage into another cup and handing it to me.
Travis watched me with worry as I drank it, but then let out a defeated sigh. "Will, you're gonna drive me crazy..." he groaned, resting his head on the table.
"I know you wanted to throw his Kool-Aid on the floor. Just behave. You'll stop going crazy soon enough." He smiled and ruffled Travis's hair before sitting down with us... which didn't make Travis too happy.
I was happy, though. I had my Kool-Aid. It was pretty good, too.
