Two more weeks passed, and Order still hadn't attacked.
But now tension didn't lay over the camp like a fog. Instead, the campers laughed and had fun in the time of peace.
The little unclaimed girl from the Dining Pavilion, Sunny, now had a permanent place at our table. In fact, she followed us everywhere. She took a special liking to Reyna, which I never would have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
And everything was normal.
Demigods went to classes. Water Naiads flirted with campers. The Apollo kids cursed the Ares cabin (again) to where they could only speak in rhymes.
You wouldn't believe how creative they got, when rhyming curse words.
And I could almost believe that Order had turned her attention elsewhere, for the time being. That our lives could go on without a war.
But a demigods life is never that easy.
That night, at the campfire, we were sitting around singing about Grandma putting her armor on. The Angels even joined in. Sunny was sitting on Reyna's lap, and the campfire blazed a bright orange-red. The flames were twelve feet tall.
Then the conch horn blew, in secession, three times.
Immediately the flames died and the song thing eerily in the air as we all froze in place for a minute.
Then we scrambled around, putting armor on and grabbing weapons, hurrying to the camp boundary line.
Order had finally begun her attack.
