Clarke and Lexa walked through the doors of the fire house, with buckets of ice cream in hand. The second they stepped into the kitchen, they were surrounded by the entire squad who ran up to them like little children.
"Dessert is served!" Clarke announced, dropping her bucket onto the kitchen counter.
"Wow that's a lot of Ice cream." Lincoln commented, looking at the 2 giant buckets placed on the counter by Clarke and Lexa.
"Yeah I don't wanna get picked for a dessert run anytime soon so I figured we should just stock up." Lexa said, shrugging.
"I like your thinking Woods." Bellamy smiled, going around the counter to grab an ice cream scooper and a bunch of bowls.
Once everyone had gotten a bowl and served themselves, they all went to the living room and turned on a movie. Lexa sat next to Clarke, and they shared one of the several blankets spread out between the group. Lexa couldn't quite wrap her head around what she wanted her relationship with Clarke to be, but whatever it was, she wanted it to be good. It only took one fight with Clarke last week for Lexa to realize she didn't want to do that again. Lexa was tired of being some strict tight ass and putting on an emotional mask all the time. If she was going to help station 100, she was going to do it her way. She was going to strengthen an already existing family, not destroy it.
"What are you thinking about?" Clarke whispered looking at Lexa who was closing her eyes and not even looking at the television screen.
Lexa opened her eyes and looked at Clarke. "Just some mistakes I've made." Lexa whispered back, not really wanting to get into further detail right now.
"Hmm." Clarke didn't understand Lexa at all, but she wasn't just going to let her beat herself up over past mistakes. Not today. "No you can't do that."
"What do you mean I can't do that?" Lexa asked, now very confused.
"I mean you can't be closing your eyes and thinking about your mistakes while we are watching The Notebook."
Lexa was smiling now and shaking her head at Clarke. "And why is that?"
"Because Lexa, there are only so many great movies out there. This is one of them and you need to be respectful." Clarke explained, gesturing towards the screen.
Lexa was giggling now. "Why are you giggling?" Clarke asked, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"You just told me I need to be respectful to a movie."
"Because you do."
"Guys shut up." Lincoln yelled, throwing a pillow at Lexa's head.
"You did not just do that." Lexa said, standing up from her spot on the couch.
"Oh dang Lincoln you screwed up." Raven laughed, watching Lexa approach Lincoln, pillow in her hands.
"Uhh...I gotta go guys." Lincoln announced running out of the living room, but Lexa was high on his tail.
"I'm gonna get you!" Lexa yelled, chasing Lincoln all around the fire house. Eventually Lexa did catch up to him and smacked him over the head with the pillow, but what Lexa didn't realize was that Clarke was standing right behind her ready to strike too. She hit Lexa in the face with a pillow, causing a full on pillow fight with the entire station. After about 15 minutes of feathers flying around and truces made and broken, everyone was too exhausted to continue.
Everyone headed off to bed, and Lexa fell asleep happy, something she never thought could happen tonight of all nights. Lexa knew deep down that Costia would be proud of her. Proud of her making an effort and opening up. And that was all Lexa needed to fall asleep peacefully.
