Lexa stood outside of the house that Clarke's directions led her to, about to knock on the door. The house was actually pretty big, and Lexa realized Clarke's family definitely had a lot of money. Lexa knocked on the front door and in about 10 minutes a woman with brown hair opened the door smiling.
"Hi, you must be Lexa!" The woman said, pulling Lexa into a hug she wasn't quite ready for. "I'm Abby Griffin."
"It's nice to meet you Mrs.Griffin." Lexa smiled, pulling out from the hug.
"Come inside sweetie." Abby instructed, motioning for Lexa to walk through the door. She did as she was told and stepped into the house. Abby led her through the house into a large living room where she found Clarke sitting on a couch next to an older man, eyes wide watching the tv which had the news on. When Clarke saw Lexa, she quickly got up from the couch and moved to greet her.
"Hey Lexa." Clarke greeted her, not knowing what to do, so she just stuck her hand out for Lexa to shake. Lexa shook Clarke's hand but they both pulled away quickly when they felt a weird electricity type feeling between them.
"That was odd." The man who was next to Clarke remarked, and that earned him a sideways glare from Clarke. "I'm Marcus by the way." The man introduced himself, walking up to greet Lexa.
The group talked casually for a while but eventually Lexa felt a bit uncomfortable as she thought about how she doesn't really belong here. Clarke must have noticed because she offered to give Lexa a tour of the house which Lexa accepted quickly, eager to step away and collect her thoughts a little. The house was actually very big so the tour took a while, but they stopped outside the door to Clarke's old room for a while.
Lexa could see Clarke didn't really want to go in there so she decided not to push Clarke. "We don't have to go in if you don't want." Lexa offered and Clarke looked at Lexa, with a thankful expression. "It's ok. I haven't been in here in like a year and I have to do it at some point anyways, so I might as well do it with someone else."
Lexa nodded her head and followed behind Clarke as she walked into her room. Out of all the rooms in the house, this on was certainly the most modest, and lacked the fancy decor and electronics that could be found all over the rest of the house. Clarke had a queen sized bed in the center of the room, and a desk and dresser against the wall. All over the walls there were pictures of Clarke and other people which Lexa's eyes were swiftly drawn to. The first few pictures she saw were Clarke and the others from station 100. Lexa smiled at the pictures, and was surprised to see they had all been friends for so long, they really were like family. Lexa then saw a bunch of pictures of Clarke and a boy. At first Lexa thought it was a boyfriend or something but then she saw how many there were and how young they were in some of them.
"Wells?" Lexa asked, pointing at a boy in a picture and Clarke nodded her head yes. Lexa's eyes then wandered to a giant picture covering up a large amount of space in the center of Clarke's wall. "Is this your dad?"
Clarke nodded her head, and Lexa turned to face Clarke. She had a small smile on her face, but her eyes were very watery and she looked as though she was on the verge of crying.
"I'm sorry." Lexa mumbled, feeling guilty for bringing up something so painful.
"It's ok." Clarke whispered, blue meeting green, as Clarke and Lexa made eye contact. "He would have liked you."
Lexa was about to respond when she heard Abby call something out from the living room. "Girls you might want to see this!" Abby yelled, and Clarke and Lexa both made their way downstairs quickly to see what Abby was talking about. On the television, was a news story showing a giant fire in the woods in California. Perfectly on cue, Lexa got a phone call and pulled it out to see it came from the head of the California fire force.
