Cat

Sylvia left a month ago and the two of us have been in constant contact since then. Who would have thought that we are going to be friends?

She stayed in the country for five months mainly because of business. She just takes that opportunity to catch up with Nate and Eric.

But most of the time she spends time with me and Grace saying that she preferred our company to Nate and Eric's 'boring' company.

I found out that Sylvia, Nate, and Eric have been friends since grade school. Sylvia left for college overseas and since then she has been living there. This is the first time she returns since then.

Throughout her stay, she accidentally discovered my condition when I suddenly had a flare-up for almost a week. Nate stayed with me and never left me during those times. With me and Nate missing on her radar, Sylvia kept on calling the two of us until Nate couldn't take it anymore and had to tell her about my condition.

Sylvia immediately came and chastised Nate for not telling her and not taking care of me better.

I was wrong about Sylvia. I thought she was a threat but it turns out that she is not. Grace and she were alike and whenever the two were together, everything would turn upside down. I am their neutralizer to keep them balanced.

The two tend to get rowdy when they get drunk. Since I cannot drink, Grace found a confidante with her. They once came without notice in my apartment with alcohol and started to get drunk. I was just there watching them.

I informed Nate and immediately he came to my rescue. He knows how rowdy Sylvia is when she gets drunk and he doesn't want me to be around them when that happens. He is so protective of me.

But because of that, I found out that Sylvia always has a secret unrequited love for Eric ever since grade school. But what surprised me is that Grace turns out to have a secret crush on Alvin. Am I that naive not to notice that?

I hung up the phone after talking to Sylvia for like five minutes. I just came from a meeting with Nate when my phone rings. When I told Nate that it was Sylvia, he rolled his eyes saying that Sylvia never bothered to call him or Eric for years when she left. But with me, Sylvia calls me every day.

Eric called her just a couple of minutes ago telling her that he wants to see her and he will be flying the next flight to her. And Sylvia just called to inform me of that and tell me how nervous she is. It looks like things will be getting better for the two of them.

As soon as I put my phone on my desk, it rings again. I frowned when I saw the caller ID. It was Faye's teacher.

I suddenly have a bad feeling about this.

I answered the call and I felt a bucket of ice had spilled on me. My blood run cold.

"Nate!"

On our way to the hospital, I cannot stop my hand from trembling. My knees were bouncing up and down and I swear I feel like Nate is driving like a beginner when in fact he is driving like a mad man and had ignored a couple of red lights.

"Oh God, please. No. No. No." I mumbled to myself then I felt Nates reach out for my hands and squeezed them.

"Love, calm down. Okay? She will be fine. You have to relax. The last thing we need is for you to end up in the hospital bed with Faye. She wouldn't like that." Nate said with a worried face.

I look at him with a teary eye. As much as I wanted to calm down and relax, I couldn't. Not until I see that Faye is okay.

After a couple of minutes, we arrived at the hospital. I didn't even wait for Nate and I rushed towards the reception.
