LHY'S POV
I processed Sangmin Oppa's words. He was finally leaving. After years of waiting, he could finally fulfill his wish.
Although we only had met a year and a half ago, we grew so close. Closer than I had initially imagined. I never expected him to become one of my best friends, close enough to consider as family.
He talked to me about what he wanted to do and what he wanted to be as I talked to him about mine. And it has been a dream of his to travel the world, he was just saving up and waiting for the right time.
"When and for how long?" I grinned at him.
I am really happy for him. Yes I'm a bit sad that he would be leaving, but it's not like he will forget about me.
He smiled at my reaction, probably not expecting it. "Tomorrow and only for 6 months."
"Are you sure 6 months is enough?" I asked doubtfully.
If he was going to travel the world, it's going to take at least a couple of years to do that.
"Are you trying to get rid of me permanently Hae?" He joked. "I'm not travelling the whole world just yet. Maybe just a quarter of it. I want to test it out first for a few months, then think about it if I want to go on." He said, munching on his brownie.
Wow. He really thought this through.
"I'm really happy for you, Oppa." I smiled at him again, showing my support. "What about the shop?" I asked him, taking a bite out of mine.
"I'm planning on handing it to you." He confidently said.
My eyes widened at his response. I regret what I said. He hasn't thought this through well.
"Oppa, are you sure about that? You know I'm not a reliable person. And I don't know what to do with an empty place. Maybe you should just sell it?" I panicked.
I can take the work. But if he gives me the place, I wouldn't know what to do with it.
He laughed at my expression. "I'm not giving the place to you, dummy. I'm making you the manager to help me manage the place. It's still under my name." He said as he shoved the last bite of the dessert into his mouth.
"What about the money? You know I can't accept that much. Maybe this isn't a good idea." I was practically talking with my mouth full.
"Relax, Hae. If you want, you can just send half of the earnings to me."
I didn't like taking money from him. It felt like I was stealing from my older brother. Although I worked for it, I would only consider my work as a favour to a family member.
"It's still too much money, Oppa. I-."
He put a hand on my shoulder, cutting me off. "Hae, you deserve it for the work you're about to do. Anyways, I have to go." He said as he stood up.
I got up, as well. Wanting to give him one last hug.
"I'm going to miss you." I put my arms around him as I felt tears flooding my vision.
"I'm going to miss you too. But don't worry. I'm gonna call everyday, sending you gifts from different countries, and bug you about the shop, making you wish you didn't say that." He released me from the hug and wiped my tears. "Don't cry, Hae. I'll be back before you know it."
I laughed at his silly promises. "Just make sure to come back in one piece, okay? And don't you forget about me."
He hugged me again and kissed my forehead. "Of course, who would forget about my short little sister huh? I wouldn't even miss a single video from you to prevent me from forgetting you." He teased.
