Chapter 11

Hanako:"Ita!"
The ghost winces once he feels a hand tug him by his sleeve, accidentally half-sinking their nails into his arm.
Hanako:"You know what, you COULD just ask to talk to me instead of treating like a rag doll!"
He glowers at Akane while dusting off.
Akane:"Oh, Sorry." He says as he wipes his glasses. Hanako becomes less tense realising that Akane is not in the same frame of mind as Teru; the probability that Akane was here to threaten him using physical force was low.
Hanako:"So, what do you want?" He pulls his collar up.
Akane:"Oh, uh um." He clears his throat and arches his eyebrows in an attempt to look intimidating but it's a little late.
Hanako:"So?" He folds his arms.
Akane:"Minamoto kaichou insists that you're using Yashiro san and his little brother for your own benefits. Is it true? I want to hear your side of the story otherwise I'll be bothered."
Hanako:"Bothered? Why? Don't tell me you like Yashir-!"
Akane:"Course not stupid. Yashiro san is a precious friend to Aoi chan so I don't want to risk anything happening to her. It'll be unbearable to see Aoi chan depressed. Just thinking about it is irks me. On top of that, Minamoto kaichou is scary when he's angry so if anything happens to his brother, I'm sure it'll get taken out on me." He shivers.
Hanako:"Ah..."
Akane:"So what are you doing?"
Hanako:"What I'm doing?"
Akane:"I need to know so that I could be in a calm state of mind which I haven't had for the past few weeks."

Hanako taps his fingers together and pouts.
Hanako:"Well, actually I'm-"
Akane:"Eh? What's with the change of mood. Are you telling me all of your sneaking around has something to do with you having a crush on Yashiro san?"
Hanako:"C-crush!?"
He squirms.
Akane:"If I'm wrong then spit it out!"

Hanako takes a deep breath.
"I can't tell you."
Akane:" Is it that bad?"
Hanako:"Bad isn't the word but..."
Akane observes the apparition's irresolution.
Akane:"Fine. But don't expect me to be able to help you if Minamoto kaichou gets out of hand."
Hanako:"Got it." He clicks.
Akane:"See you around...maybe." He shrugs and goes on his way, partially irritated that his time was wasted.

The end of the school day came quite quickly but even so, Yashiro couldn't come to any conclusions.
Yashiro:"Shall I tell Hanako I can't come to the bathroom today? Ugh but then he'll ask why!" She claws at her forehead.
It'll be okay. I'll go over and tell him then make my way to Aoi chan's house and inform her about the current situation.
She stomps once and marches over to the bathroom, peeping in ever so self-effacingly.
"Hanako kun?"
Hanako:"Hello angry little daikon." He pops up in front of her and smirks.
Yashiro's face burns up immediately and she turns the other way.
Yashiro you're ill. You're very very ill.

Hanako:"Yashiro? You're still mad at me?"
Yashiro:"Mad!? Who said I'm mad!?" She shrieks.
Hanako floats in front of her again.
Hanako:"Are you sick?" His face softens.
She turns away again.
Yashiro:"I'm not, I mean I am, I mean-"
Hanako:"Yashiro why won't you look at me?"
Yashiro:"I'll look at you another day, just not today."
Hanako:"What's that supposed to mean?"
Yashiro:"I said what I said. H-hmph."
She walks but is halted by him embracing her, she could pass out any moment now; her face getting even hotter.
Yashiro:"H-Hanako ku-!"
Hanako:"I won't let you go until you talk to me!" He says childishly.

*familiar footseps from a certain exorcist*
Yashiro:"I'm saved!"
No doubt that's Kou kun. He could cut through this awkwardness created and change the subject.
Yashiro:"See? You gotta let me go now. Kou kun is here so we could discuss this another day." She says confidently.

Hanako:"Tut tut. It can't be helped."
Yashiro:"What can't be helped?"
Hanako:"Yashiro, keep in mind you asked for this." He smirks.
"Pardon the intrusion!"
*zip!*
Yashiro:"EEEK!" She squeaks.
...
Kou:"Hanako!? Oh, it's just you senpai?"
'Yashiro': Yes, it's just me Kou kun."
'She' winks.
Kou:"Senpai?"
'Yashiro':"Ne Kou kun."
'She' rests her hand and head on his chest softly.
Kou:"S-senpai!?" He tenses up.
'Yashiro':"Hanako kun said that we could go home today."
'She' pokes him.
Kou:"He did?"
There's a very easy way to get him to run away.
'She' tiptoes so that she just about reaches his ear.
'Yashiro':"That's right. Unless of course, you want to have some fun before he gets back."
'She' whispers, dragging out 'her' words and crawling her fingers up to his neck.
Kou:"WHA!?" He flushes all the way up to his ears.
Kou:"I-I WANT TO STAY INNOCENT FOR A LITTLE LONGER!" He screams with his eyes shut, rampaging down the hallways.
Kou:"I'M ONLY 14!"
