" Shane don't let that cow fall behind !" Tim called out irritated as the calf strayed away from the Hurd.

Shane jogged over , his palomino pal strung her head low as she chased the cow"on it !"

Katie arm rested on the horn of her saddle , fanning the long horn with her hat " get along cow " she ordered

Mitch sat quietly . He rode at the side of the Hurd and kept them straight . With his spare hands he wiped the sweat that glistened his neck and then pushed his hat on more . Maverick let out a long blow through his nose ; he itched his face with his boots and took advantage of the fresh grass under his feet . He began to rip a section of and start to nibble

" hey trooper ?! Having a snooze ?! Cmon !" Tim called from the other side

Katie's giggled at Mitch rolled his eyes " won't stop will he ?"

" nope " she laughed kicking trouble into a lope

Shane patted pal . Her shoulder was wet with sweat " hey dad ? Think we should take a rest now . Give horses a break and let the cattle take a drink ? We've been riding for quite a while now ."

" yeh okay alright then " Tim said dismounting

Katie turned backward in her saddle and reached into her saddle bag" who wants ham sandwiches?"

Lou opened the gait and let buddy out . He jogged over to the mud around the water trough and began to roll " alrighty that's most of the horses ! That horse and Amy has the barn all to there self " she laughed shaking her head " okay , cows are being moved to stumpys field right?"

" yep - horses are out now so that's them out of the way" Lisa followed her closely " well apart from her"

Georgie was at the pasture gait, next to the stable where Phoenixes head rested over it waiting to come in as she stroked his fluffy velvet nose . Both of his eyes was closed- he's head bobbed lightly and his ears fluttered

" I'm sorry boy . That mean moody mare turned you out of your bed didn't she ?" She baby talked and was responded with a heart felt snort that lightly blew snot on her face , she wiped it off with her sleeve " thanks bud "
