"Amelia! Wake up! You're gonna be late for today." I moaned because of irritation. I really don't want to be bothered when I'm having a good sleep. Argh!"Just 5 more minutes Mom, I'm still sleepy.." I whispered.
"I said you're gonna be late! Today is the persona test!" She shouted as if I'm not sleeping.
We-wait. What will happen today?
I hurriedly rose up and sat down on my bed. I blinked my eyes repeatedly trying to sink all of what I have heard.
After realizing what's the event today, I went to take a shower for me to get ready. I wore the dress my mom bought me. It is a dark violet off shoulder corset dress with a lace and sleeves up to my elbow and the length is above the knee.
"You look so great in that dress, baby." My mom uttered while we are eating breakfast.
"Of course mom, you're the one who chose this." I smiled then ate my scrambled egg and fried fish.
We continued eating our meals until someone knocked on the door. Mom and Dad looked at each other and finally, my mom stood up to check who is here.
I heard the door creak but I can't see anything since it's behind me.
"Good morning Mrs. Carson, I'm just here to check if your daughter is ready for the test. The officials ordered me."
My eyes widened hearing that familiar voice. I turned my head to see if I'm not mistaken.
That's Ender! He's in our house! I don't even know what to feel. I feel so happy and thrilled knowing that he finally has the courage to show up here. Yet, I also feel so nervous of what will happen next and what my parents would think.
"Good morning. My daughter will be there soon, she'll just finish her food." My mom seriously uttered.
"Mom, I'm done eating, I can go now." I stood up and get my things, then head to the door.
All eyes are on me but I don't care. I'm excited to be with him again even though I just saw him yesterday. I grinned when I reached the door.
"Good luck on your exam, Amelia!" I heard my mom shouted as I closed the door.
We started walking our way to the testing center near the central hall.
"You really did it. I thought we will just meet somewhere and go there together." I giggled.
"Uh.. yeah. I thought so too." He replied but I can sense that he's a little bit awkward. Or is it just me being paranoid?
"So, today's the day huh. I wish a good luck to the both of us." I turned my head to look at him but he didn't look at me so I slowly placed my hands to his and made it intertwined. He just let it be and we just continued walking towards the testing center.
We finally arrived here and I'm a bit shocked to see people with the same age as mine independently got here. There were many. I think it's about 1,000 eighteen-years-old people here inside.
One rule of the test, no parents allowed near and inside the testing center. I don't even see the point.
When we entered place, a lot of camera were clicking nonstop. First test will be an intelligence test.
"Hi there!" A reporter approached me. Here we go. "If I'm not mistaken, your're the daughter of Elizabeth Carson, right?" I nod.
"So, tell me how are you feeling today for this year's persona test." The camera was focused on me and he gave me the microphone waiting for my answer.
