Chapter 5

Opening Ceremony.

Welcome New Analysts!

A banner was hanged at the door through the gathering hall. "Let's find a seat in front, Bell!" Emma excitedly walked fast to find seats for us.

I whispered to Emma so that we will not caught anyone's attention. "Ems, I think we're not allowed to sit here in front. Look, I think most of them are seniors and are already full-fledged analysts."

She sighed and walked grouchy to find a place at the middle part of the long tables. Then we sat down and greet those who were already in front of us.

"Hi, I'm Emma and this is Amelia. Nice to meet you all!" She offered her hand to them and smiled widely. This girl is really friendly.

"I'm Lily, Lily Anderson." The woman with a blonde hair accepted Ems' hand. She's really classy and looks so intelligent.

Then a short hair girl with full bangs shook our hands. "I'm Jennifer Holler." I saw her smirk after that. This girl seems to be so mysterious and judging by her looks, she's fierce and looks like someone who can destroy you. I hope it's just her looks and not the reality.

"Corine." A woman with a very fashionable dress and accessories just half-wave her hand without looking at us.

My eyes went to whom I think is the last girl within their group of friends. She is glamorous, sophisticated, and with just her eyes, I think she can make people follow her.

"And you Miss? What's your name?" Emma lively asked that girl. I didn't take off my eyes on her waiting for her answer but after a long silence, we waited for nothing. She's just looking straight in the platform in front.

"She's Natalia." Lily answered awkwardly.

"Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen! Today, we welcome you for being part of the Analysts here in Chalcedon. Nexus will be your new home and we are grateful for having you as our new members." An old man came and stood in the platform that is why we turn our heads to see him.

"First of all, I am so proud of you all that you became part of this persona. Only few can pass to be an Analyst and to those who dreamed of being with us, you deserved it!" After hearing those, I poke Ems and saw her reaction of amusement.

This girl really knows her dream. As for me, I don't know what I dream of anymore ever since that Ender...

Ugh! What am I thinking?!

The old man that they call Master announced the rules and the guy I met earlier was right, we can't wander around the garden for now.

"Next, you can't talk to someone in the higher level than you or to those who are already full fledged Analyst for the first week. It's because we have some surprises that any of you shouldn't know for now."

My eyes widened after hearing those words. I don't even know if the people we encountered and talked to were seniors.

"The rankings will be shown at the second day and last day of the week. Few announcements will be made further. That is all, thank you new Analysts and Welcome!"

Lily grabbed my arm and we walked back to the Wise Team Headquarters. We stayed in the living room to wait for the other members for us to know each other. That's what Lily suggested.

After 5 mins, there are still no one coming. I wonder where they went.

"Would you like to check them outside? Oh! I'll just go see if we have food in the fridge."

I went to the kitchen area and saw nothing on the fridge. What now?

"Lily, there's nothing in here. I'm really hungry."
