Chapter 4

"What did you just say?!" Mom was very shocked by my decision today.

I sat down on our couch in the living room to talk to them. I am going to miss them and this house for sure.

I don't even know what's waiting for me out there but I know for sure that I this decision of trying to find myself is something that is worthy.

"Amelia, would you care to tell us why you choose to be on other persona if you have the chance to stay here?" She is still walking back and forth in front of me and Dad. Maybe later she's going hysterical.

"I'm sorry Mom, Dad. I am just really curious about other persona, and I want to explore what I can do more. I have given a chance to choose, therefore, there's something more of me that I could show to everyone. I just want to make you both proud of me for being independent."

That's the least of my reasons. I can't tell them about Ender.

"Is there anyone you don't want to be here with, that's why you chose it?" Dad said seriously.

"What? No Dad! I am fine with my classmates and of course I still want to be with you both, but I think this opportunity will help me shape who I really am."

I saw a smile on Dad's face. With that, I am assured that he's now proud of me. That is why I gave him back a bright smile.

"That's my girl. You never fail to amaze us, Amelia."

When I look into his eyes, it's getting teary. That's why my smile was slowly disappearing.

I don't know what's running into his mind and I am now hesitating to leave with that expression.

"Don't worry about us. We can handle ourselves. Just continue believing in yourself, alright?"

That's when I realized, who will take care of them when they get old? Oh my!

I don't want to overthink. For now, I will just spend my remaining days here in Garzena with my family.

We spent the night playing card games and I could say that this is one of the things I am going to miss here. It was finished with me being still undefeated. I chuckled on my mind.

"Am I ready?" I asked myself. Today is the day that I will leave this province. Whatever's waiting for me there, I should be ready.

"Bye Mom and Dad! I love you so much.." I waved my hand then gave them a flying kiss as I was walking backwards towards our service. It is a train designated only for the use of government.

Within my peripheral view, I could see a very familiar face looking at me. I cannot feel anything but anger for what he did.

He smiled shyly at me but I didn't bother to look at him.
