i would say that i'm sorry to rant, but i'm really not. i know i've been losing followers over this, but this is important. this is not politics, this is about human rights. and black people deserve to walk the streets, sleep in their own beds, and live their lives without the fear of being killed by police, who are the ones supposed to protect them.

if anyone supports bluelivesmatter and refuses to support blacklivesmatter, unfollow me right now, your racism is showing. take the time to read this, so maybe you'll understand why campaigning for the lives of racist cops rather than those of innocent black people (whose only crime is the colour of their skin) is wrong.

the ability to ignore blacklivesmatter and support a system that's based on systematic & institutionalised racism shows your privilege and it's disgusting. the only thing that allows you to do that is because you are privileged enough to never fear being killed in the streets by the people supposed to protect you. the inability to understand that is racist. supporting a system based on institutionalised racism is racist. i too know people that are cops, and they are nice people. but they have still voluntarily chosen to work for a system based off of racism. black people don't get to choose the colour of their skin. so why the fuck do blue lives matter more than innocent black lives. use your brain.

i know several wattpad accounts that are in support of bluelivesmatter and honestly fuck off. if you've watched the livestreams of the protests, the videos, you'll know that police are the ones instigating all the violence. the ones throwing peaceful protesters to the ground and sending them to hospital for concussions and seizures, the ones shooting news reporters with rubber bullets, the ones trapping store owners in their own stores for trying to protect their shops, the ones hitting black women to start violence, the ones hitting people with their car-doors unprovoked and knocking them down, the ones dragging underaged black girls to the ground, the ones punching peaceful livestreamers, the ones ripping off muslim girls' hijabs, the one macing children, the ones shooting protesters and leaving them to crawl to one another in the streets as the cops watch. the ones saying "don't give us a reason" while holding their guns, to peaceful protesters. these are only a handful of things i've seen on livestream and video clips. they are instigating the violence. they want to give the protesters a reason to be violent back, to be viewed as "THUGS", to be hurt or jailed. fuck the police system that's built off of institutionalised racism and prejudice. enough is enough.

this night, i've seen hundreds of videos, hundreds of livestreams. i've watched the protesters, black and of all other races, coming together, speaking through microphones that "we need to protect each other. look out for each other, don't let anyone walk alone. these are our brothers and sisters. love one another. turn to the people on either side of you and hug them, tell them you love them. we need to look out for each other. they're killing us. protect one another". and then i see police, shooting teargas at peaceful protests. i watched a peaceful protester get shot in the head. i watched in horror as, of two people on the street who had been shot, the one whose legs weren't working dragged himself across the road by his hands, with the cops and national guard watching, and try to wake the other person up by shaking them. the other person was dying.

this is fucking now. it's not fucking right. i don't care if you have family who are cops, friends. they CHOSE to abide by that system that is built on racism. black people did not CHOOSE. why can a black child (tamir rice) not play cops and robbers with a toy gun in his front yard, without being shot and killed by the police? WHY? if 10% of cops are bad, and the other 90% stand by and watch, allow it, say nothing: 100% of them are bad. fuck you if you're complacent with that; fuck your privilege. black people are dying for the colour of their skin. blue lives matter is dismissing that, saying that you stand with the system that is based around racism. you can love your cop relatives, you can hate their job, hate what it stands for, and hate the institutionalised racism is stands on.
