Nisha's Point of View
The 23rd of December. That night passed, and what I had seen in my dream lingered in my thoughts. Is this a silly dream, or will it come true someday? I'm not sure where to look for him because his face is strange to me. Daddy Truce would have known about that if that was the case. Daddy has vanished, and I have no idea where he has gone.
"Are you prepared for tomorrow? If Grandpa knows where the battle will take place, he will send a message later," Shawn was the one who inquired. Following the training, Shawn followed me. My body is built to be a risk-taker and a fighter, so it's no longer a challenge for me.
"Yes, I am. However, I am unfamiliar with the others, including you," I could hear him groan.
"We are born with the ability to be prepared. We've also received extensive training," he stated.
That dream was never truly forgotten in my imagination. Is it true that I've been separated from my brother for a long time? Daddy Truce was completely silent about it.
"I noticed you were floating earlier, Nisha. When we have our training, you're preoccupied as well. Is there any sort of issue? You are welcome to share it with me. I know you were thinking intently again when you closed your mind."
I take a deep breath. It's not so bad if I mention that. Shawn is not a stranger to me.
"Do you have any knowledge of my past? What was I like before?" Before he spoke, we were both staring at each other.
"Yes and no," my brow furrowed in response to his response. What exactly does he mean?
"I demand that you enlighten me," I said.
He raised his eyes to the devastation.
He raised his eyes to the devastation.
"As a sick youngster, I am familiar with you. But I have no idea how long you've been alive. I only know you have a horrible father, but I haven't seen his face. Yumi was his nickname for you, and he adopted it as your second name," he took a breather. It was as if I had foreseen the outcome. "I saw you in the garden. You previously stated that it was your mansion. You have numerous bruises on your body. On the face and throughout the body," because of what I had heard, I became even more enraged with my father. I guess I'm still blessed that Daddy Truce treated me like one of his own daughters.
"What's next?" I asked.
"I was attempting to assist you. But I haven't been able to do it since I was seven years old. My grandmother is a severe woman, and she was staring at me at the time. Instead of assisting you or conversing with you, I was terrified of my grandmother and preferred to return home."
I'm pretty sure I understand why he said yes and no to me. Yes, he was aware of my existence at the time. My name, perhaps. And no, he doesn't know anything about my life.
I was speechless because I didn't know what to say. Because there is no response to my inquiry, it stays a question.
"Why?" He asked again.
"Last night, I was experiencing a dream. I'm not sure whether that's true, but all of my nightmares have come true. In my dream, I encountered a man who addressed me as a sister. Is it possible that I have a sibling?" I inquired. I saw that he, too, is a deep thinker. I'm unable to read his thoughts, and he appears to have closed the window as well.
"You're the only one in the garden, as far as I recall. Please accept my sincere apologies if I am unable to assist you. However, I recommend that you consult with your father," I inhaled deeply once more. Why is it so difficult? I'm not sure how to respond or where to go for an answer.
