Betty's POV
I was woken up to a heated argument down stairs in the Wrym. I was staying in the apartment above the bar with Jughead, but he's in a serpent mission so I'm alone. I got out fo bed and grabbed my serpent jacket to see what was the problem. The bar is open 24 hours and a lot of the older serpents like to come and stay here. I looked over the balcony to see Hothead and Snake, to older serpents, fighting with a few spectators.
" what the hell is going on at four in the damn morning?!" I shout caused going everyone to look up. I start heading down the stairs " This doesn't concern you Betty, now go back to your beauty sleep." snake snapped at me. " Look just because your "serpent king" is gone doesn't mean I can't help." I say taking my seat on the throne. " Now tell me what's going on because I didn't order a wake up call." "Fine hothead lost a bet against me and now he's refusing to pay his money." Snake said frustrated. " I didn't loose the bet he is changing the rules." hothead said angerly.
"ok ok break it up, now can someone else tell me what this so called "bet" was?" I say. " I can," ivy said. "Snake bet hothead $200 that he could convince the owner of the new club to go on three dates with him. She went on two dates and the third is next Friday." she said. "ok so snake you will get your money after your third date cause it hasn't happened yet." I say. " fine I guess but I still want my $200." he says. " I'll make sure hothead gives it to you, now was that so hard." I say. "Thank you for your help Betty, its hard not having boss here cause he usually fixes everything. " Hothead says. ' I understand that but he's not coming back for another day so until he comes back and as your queen I'll take care of everything."
The older serpents look surprised but agreed to what I said. After that debacle I went back upstairs and back to bed. I woke up a few hours later just as more serpents where coming to the bar. It was spring break so the teenage serpents weren't in school so I had Toni and Fangs helping me, Sweetpea was away with jughead, Fangs would have gone but his arm is broken so he stayed behind. "So betty hothead tells me your filling in today for all Jugheads duties." Toni says while cleaning glass at the bar. " I am, I've already solves a crisis at four in the morning so I feel ready for anything." I say.
" Fangs has the new alcohol shipment arrived yet?" I ask,
" Yes and being unloaded as we speak. he says.
" Great what about the initiations for the new guys and the bills being sent in the mail?"
"The new guys are coming in later today and you have five more bills to review before they are sent out."
"Great I'll be in the office finishing those, come get me if there's a problem."
3 hours later
" Ok bills are payed and sent off, alcohol is restoked, the new guys are ready for their initiation next week, and the wrym is all organized." "Great job betty." Toni said. "Now I can-" "HELP"
Next thing I know two serpents come running into the bar with terrified looks on their faces. " What happened!?" " GHOULIES" Next thing I knew many ghoulies were at our door. " What are you doing on our territory!?" I say. " Well lookie here Jones turned himself into a little girl." Malichi says smirking. " Go crawl back to penny after all your just her lap dog." I say causing some serpents to laugh. " List blondie I don't have time for this, Jones sent scouts on our territory and I found those two snakes hiding behind a rock." he says angerly.
"Look hair gel we don't need to send scouts to look at your puny gang, those two are new and don't exactly know the boundaries of our large territory now get out before I make you start wearing an eyepatch." I say as I pull out my switch blade. As I pulled my the rest of the serpents pulled out theirs. "Lets go those slimy snakes aren't worth it." he says walking out. " LONG LIVE THE QUEEN" fangs shouts. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN, LONG LIVE THE QUEEN the rest of the gang starts shouting.
"Well that was an eventful day." I say taking a sip of my drink. " BETTS" I here as I'm being lifted up into the air and someone's arms. "JUGGIE" I say. "I missed you so much betts." he says pulling me into a kiss. " So anything exciting happen while I was away?" "No not that I can think of," I say looking at Toni and fangs who are laughing. "ooookkkk" he says stealing my drink. "hey that's mine." I say looking sad. "My bar my drink I'll get you another." he says smiling. " Don't think its your bar anymore Boss." we hear hothead say. " And whys that Hothead?!" jug asks.
"In the words of every serpents LONG LIVE THE QUEEN". " Nothing happened huh." he says looking back at me. "I'll tell you about it in the morning now lets go to bed." I say pulling him to the stairs. " Oh Snake and Hothead if you have to fight do it outside and no weapons. Don't need one of you in an eyepatch." I say smirking. They just salute me. Jughead just looks more confused than every.
