A Gift

I was so shocked to see a box left on my bed, which I never did, I walked towards my bed to get a closer look at it, I looked around to see where it might have come from, and I saw that the window was open, when Marcus came in I forgot to lock the rest of the windows. I wanted to beat myself up now, how could someone be so stupid? I looked back at the box, as big as the size of a book, it was red in color and there was a white ribbon tied around it. I was hesitant at first but somehow I gathered courage and picked up the box and opened it, and my god there was a rose gold necklace which had words engraved, 

                                "MINE FOREVER"

As soon as I read that a chill went down my spine, it was so irresponsible of me to leave the window open, god damn it. I notice that along with the box there was a note left with it, it said,

"My beautiful Ray, I know the things that I am doing right now might creep you out, and I am sorry about that, I just want to let you know that I really love you, but I don't have any courage to come in front of you, but I promise to show my face in future, just have some patients, and remember you're mine." 

 I really don't have time for such bullshit, I have to find out who is behind all of this, no matter what, after Brook comes I have to figure out things with her. Just as I was putting the box away, Marcus knocked on the door.

"Ray open up quick." He shouted. I quickly ran and opened the door for him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I thought I heard noises from your room." He said as he glaced my room.

"Well you were right someone broke in, again." I sighed 

"Oh god, you really need do be careful, did he do anything to you?" He asked.

"Well I didn't see him, he just left something for me." I said as I walked towards the box.

"Wait what he left something?" He asked in shock.

"Yeah, here take a look." I passed him the box with the note. 

"Dude this guy is really creepy, you should be careful." He said.

"I have enough of this, I have to find out who he is." I said.

"Haven't you informed the police?" 

"Nope, its of no use, they won't take it seriously cause he hasn't done anything to me yet." I said.

"Yeah that's there....." His voice trailed off.

"CCTV camera." 

"What?" Marcus asked, not quite understanding.

"The CCTV footage, we can see the footage, there is no way he could have escaped the security cameras." I said as I got excited.

"Right."

"Come quick." I held his hand and ran outside, I made sure everything was locked, not repeat the same mistakes.

"Where to?" Marcus asked.

"The control room dummy, I'm gonna find out who that fucking stalker is."

As soon as we got to the control room, all my excitement drained out. The monitor was being rebooted, dang it.

"How long has it been since you rebooted it?" Marcus asked.

"About fifteen minutes ago." The man replied.

"Ah! Dang!" 

"Why what's wrong kids?" The man asked.

"Well actually someone broke into my house, thankfully he didn't take anything nor did he destroy any stuff." I said.
