The guards rushed them through the hallways. Castle workers stopped to stare at them but none of that mattered. They had to get to the queen before it was too late. But Winter had a sinking suspicion that they couldn't stop it no matter what, but she was sure going to try. She didn't even have time to admire the beauty of this castle. But it was mad of beautiful green crystal so you could see outside, but growing all over the outside were giant flowers. Finally they reached the Queen's room. The two guards on the outside of the door started to say something, but then one of the guards escorting them whispered in one of the other guards ear and afterward he swung open the door. The two girls rushed in to find...

A girl. There was a girl about their age(16) sitting next to the bed, tears running down her face. The girl was beautiful. She had blonde hair with dashes of brown in it, green eyes, and skin somewhere between tan and pale. Her wavy hair was pulled back in a high ponytail. Winter braced herself and slowly moved her gaze down to the figure on the bed. Queen Clover looked very similar to the girl next to the bed so Winter assumed that was her daughter. But her skin was pale and sweaty. Her eyes looked dull and they were barely open. She looked over and saw nurses and doctors running around, desperately trying to help the queen but to no avail. It was all so similar to the scene just a few months ago in her kingdom to her teacher, best friend, and the only person who understood her. The backpack Winter was holding slipped from her hands and onto the ground with a muffled thud. The princess looked up at her and her eyes widened.

Ember rushed over to the doctors and started talking to them. Winter walked over to the princess. "I'm Winter." she started. "I'm the queen of the Winter territory. We're here because a terrible man is doing awful to all of the kingdoms. He has poisoned the Winter and Summer territory rulers and destroyed the castle. And now we're going to try to save your Mom." the girl processed the news and slowly her face grew less sad. "I'm Blossom. "She said and shook Winter's hand. Ember walked over and said, "Okay the doctors just ran tests for all poisons and the results will be back soon." Ember then bit her lip. "What? What's wrong?" Winter asked. "Well the doctor's just asked a favor." Ember said cautiously. "Okay..." Winter replied. "From what they can see, the sickness causes her temperature to keep rising, and when it rises, she gets worse. So they were wondering if you could create a cold field around her to keep her cool. But, They said it would be... difficult to keep her temperature steady because you'll be fighting the sickness itself." she finished. Winter processed that and her faced turned determined. "Okay. I'll do it." Winter said.

Winter walked over to the bed and took a deep breath. She put her hands up above the bed, and then used her powers. She used her power over the cold and the cold drifted into the queen. She felt the change immediately. She took on some of the queen's pain, and she felt the sickness trying to take control each minute. But Winter wouldn't let it. Her legs wobbled suddenly and she would've collapsed if one of the doctor's didn't catch her and give her a chair. Her eyes closed and she could focus on nothing else. Each pulse of the sickness and push of her power to keep control. It felt like endless minutes but somehow not that long until she heard a commotion and Ember exclaimed, "The results are here!" Winter waited and then Ember gasped excitedly. "We found it!" Blossom exclaimed. "But what's the cure?" Blossom asked. "The cure to Deathbloom poison is Sugarbelle nectar." one of the doctor's told her.

But then she couldn't hear anymore because the poison was attacking. She fought as hard as she could to stop it but it was so strong. The pain was too much. She vaguely heard a buzzing sound but she was still fighting. One thought ran through her head. Don't let her die. Don't let her die. Don't let her die. But the poison kept attacking, slowly draining all of her strength until finally in one last strong attack, she passed out. It felt like an eternity in a dreamless oblivion but it must have only been a few minutes because as her eyelids slowly fluttered open, she saw doctor's running around until finally the chaos stopped and everyone lowered their heads. The queen was dead.
