"Who are you?" Winter asked drawing her sword. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." the girl warned as all the guards in the room drew their swords. "And to answer you're question, I'm the queen." The girl said tossing her hair. Winter stepped back. She guessed the Summer territory could've had a new queen and not told anyone. "Now the better question is," the girl said narrowing her eyes. "Who are you?" Did Winter trust this new queen enough? In her head she had imagined going into the castle and accusing the king. But this was entirely different. "I'm Winter, queen of the Winter territory." The girl snorted. "Everyone knows that the queen of the Winter territory is named Crystal." "Yeah well everyone knows that the King of the Summer territory is named Sahara, so here we are." Winter retorted. "Okay fine. Say you were the queen, what would you be doing in the summer territory of all places?" The young queen asked. "I'm here because you attacked our castle!" Winter snapped. "What?" the queen asked looking dumbfounded.
"Oh please, cut the innocent act. We felt a surge of heat and a massive blast when the castle was destroyed. All of which only you are capable of." at these words the queen paled. "Show me the attack." the queen said. So Winter did. After she had finished playing the attack through the ice the queen whispered, "That wasn't me. No matter what you may think about me or my kingdom, I would never do that. And..." she stopped looking very thoughtful for a moment before she said, "Come, walk with me. I need to know if I can trust you." Winter was shocked. Why was this queen being so nice to her? Their kingdoms were practically enemies! "Okay." Winter agreed, against her better judgement.
They walked through the palace gardens and the queen told her, "My name is Ember by the way." she said introducing herself. Ember was gorgeous. She had bright red hair that glowed in the sunlight, and bright green eyes. "So why did we have to come on this walk?" Winter asked finally. "I want you to tell me your story, and then I'll decide if I can trust you." Ember replied. "Why do you need me to trust you?" Winter asked in irritation. "Just get on with the story and I'll tell you." Ember said with a mischievous smile. Winter sighed but she told her story. In a way it felt good to talk to someone about all this. Ember was a very good listener, she looked sad at the news of Queen Crystal's death and she laughed at the part where she threatened the guards to let her in. And finally after she'd finished her story Ember said, "Okay. I believe I can trust you. Remember when you said that I was the only one that could've destroyed your castle?" "Yes..." Winter said slowly. "That's not true, there's a man who seems to have the power of energy itself, and he's the one who attacked your castle." "How do you know that?" Winter asked confused. Ember looked at her with all seriousness in her eyes. "Because he attacked our castle too."
