Bev's POV
"You're right," I stood up and pushed past him knocking our shoulders, "I do have it under control." He doesn't get to come in here after everything he did and said, and try to act like the hero. I was about to say something else, when there was a loud bang coming from my room. Several more came after it and I could hear my father yelling from behind the door.
"Bevy unlock this damn door so we can finish what we started." "I know you want it too, just wait till I get out of here, you'll finally be awake for everything," He kept yelling and talking, and I was feeling sick just with him talking about it.
"What is he talking about Bev," I could hear the barely contained rage in Henry's voice. I kept looking at the ground.
"It doesn't matter. My issues and I are none of your concern. You don't want to know me, remember? Now if you'll excuse me, I have some friendships to try and fix," I walked out of the house, not knowing where to go, or who to talk to first. I decided to go to Bill's house first, to rip off the band-aid. I walked to his house, and tried to think of the right words to say, but nothing came to mind.
Before I knew it, I was standing at his front door, wiping my sweaty palms on my t-shirt. Slowly I took a deep breath in and knocked on his door. Only a few moments passed, before a beautiful older woman opened the door. Without a doubt, she was Bill's mom. "Hello dear, can I help you with something?" I could tell she was looking me up and down, with my short hair, ripped jeans and old t-shirt I'm sure I was a sight to see.
"Yes ma'm, I'm a friend of Bill's, and I was wondering if I could talk to him?" I put on my my most confident but polite smile. I could see she was hesitant, but she stepped aside and invited me in. The second I stepped inside her home, I looked around and couldn't help but say, "You have an amazing home." But even though it was nice, it seemed empty and cold. Like a shell, and I coulnt help but think of Bill's family like that. An empty shell since Georgie died.
"Yes, um... well thank you. Bill is upstairs in his room. Its the second door on the right up the stairs." I nodded my head and started making my way up the stairs, "Do be sure to leave the door open." I rolled my eyes at this comment.
"Yes ma'm," I called back. I find the second door, and open it to find Bill laying face up on his bed. He shoots up when he sees me.
"Bev?" He starts off looking shocked, but his face quickly contorts into rage. "W-w-wh-what the hell is wro-o-ong with you? First you k-ki-ki-iss me, then you just diss-sssappeared." He was whisper yelling, trying to keep his mom from over hearing anything.
"Please just let me explain," I pause and he looked like he wanted to say something, but he stayed silent. "I am so sorry that I kissed you. I can't really explain why I did it, because I myself don't know yet. The only thing I do know, is that I think of you as one of my best friends. It's how I see all of you guys. I'm just hoping that maybe you'll be able to forgive me?" I phrased the last bit as a question as I tried to get a good look at his reaction. His face stayed neutral. "As for where I was, Henry's dad picked me up off the street and took me home," his head snapped up, "and I found out that over the years..." I paused, unsure of how to finish my sentence, "well let's just say that he's been paying me visits while i sleep." Bill's eyebrows shot to his hairline. he didn't say anything, but he looked lost in thought. "Look, I have to go find Ben and apologize to him too," I said, remembering the betrayed look on his face.
Bill didn't say anything, as I turned and walked out of his room, and out of his house. I tried to think of where I could find Ben on a summer afternoon, and a few places came to mind. I checked the ice cream store, the candy shop, the book store, when I realized there was somewhere he could get books without paying for them. I walked to the library and hoped that i would see Ben inside. I was about to walk across the lawn, when I saw Ben come out. Before I could yell and get his attention, someone beat me to it.
Henry showed up behind him. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but Ben took off and Henry ran after him. I took off after them but I knew it would be hard with the head start they got. I knew that he was faster than me, because of past experiences. I ended up on a bridge, but i saw Henry and his two goons. Vic and Belch had Ben's arms and pressed him against the rail of the wooden bridge. Henry had a knife pressed against Bens stomach, and there was already blood in the shape of an H. I tried to look for an opportunity to get rid of Bowers, and Ben created it when he head butts Henry.I charged forward and tackled Henry, unfortunately breaking the rail and sending Ben. Henry, and I all tumbling down the hill. When we hit the bottom, I landed on top of Henry, while Ben had landed a couple feet to the right. I scramble off of Henry and go to Ben.
I pulled him off the ground, and ran. We ran to the closest house I could think of, and that was Richie. I knocked on the door in hopes that Richie would answer the door instead of his parents. The door opened and I shoved passed a four eyed geek and pull bed inside.
"Well geez just come right in why do-" He paused, looking between Ben and I. "Well shit, what happened to the two of you?"
Well, what do you think? It felt a little weird trying to pick up after not being able to get into this account for so long. On top of that, I have a job now, I just got back from vacation, and I'm about to start college. But now that I can keep updating you can expect more updates coming in the future. I love you guys so much, thank you for waiting. Comment and vote to let me know what you think.❤️
