Henry POV
I looked down at my hands as I walked away from Beverly. That was the first time I had hit someone and it didn't feel good. what the h**l! I bet it's just because she didn't complain or scream. Guess that means I'll just have to try harder I thought to myself as I got into the car and pulled away. I dropped the boys off at their houses and figured my dad wouldn't be home so it was safe.
As soon as I pulled up into the driveway I knew it was a mistake. My dad's cruiser was parked at in the open garage and he was looking out the front window. It was too late to run. I got out of the car and went inside using my key to unlock the door. When I walked in the door he was already sitting in his chair in front of the T.V.
"Why the h**l are you home so early," my dad asked. he knows that I'm gone almost all day every day.
"Just came to grab something to eat then I figured I would head back out," I said looking at the ground. I could never look him in the eye, to him it was like a challenge. He grumbled some sort of complaint and left me alone. I grabbed something to eat and left as fast as I could. Maybe I could go Tourcher Bevy again and make her scream this time. Just the thought of her screaming in pain sent shivers down my spine. I smiled wickedly, but maybe this time I could catch her while she's alone.
After I picked up Patrick, Victor, and belch, I drove along the road next to the barrens looking for the loser club's bikes. But, Instead of finding all of them I only found Mike. I pulled infront of him and stopped, quickly turning off my car and getting out. "Hey black boy." I said.
"Oh, s**t." He muttered under his breathe.
"Oh s**t is right." I replied with a grin on my face. Pat. and Vic. grabbed his arms causing him to drop his bike and started dragging him into the barrens as Belch grabbed some of the raw meat from the basket on his bike. I followed behind laughing. We reached a small stream with a small island in the middle. Belch threw the meat down and ripped the paper off of it. Vic. and Patrick threw him to the ground. The kid caught himself just before his face landed in the meat. I put my foot on the back of his head and slowly started pressing his down toward the raw, bloody meat. He was straining his neck trying to push against my foot.
"What's wrong? Are you a vegan?" I said. "I thought you liked raw meat." I said pushing his head closer to the meat.
"Get away from him bowers," a familiar voice said. I looked up just in time to see a rock flying at my face, but I wasnt lucky enough to doge it. I let out a grunt of pain as I fell backwards. Mike got up and ran towards a group of kids standing on the other side of the stream.
"Was one beating not enough for you Bevy? Or are you so used to it that it doesn't hurt," I said with a smile. Her jaw clenched and the fat kid next to her let out an angry scream and threw a rock. Patrick, Belch, Victor, and I all picked up rocks aiming at the losers, and they did the same thing.
"ROCK WAR!" The dumb freckle face with curly hair said just before getting hit in the chest with a rock. Rocks were constantly getting flung through the air, everyone getting hit except for the asthma kid. My gang started to back off, and then started to run yelling "Retreat, retreat."
"Y-y-you had b-b-better go Bowers. Thi-this isn't a fight that you'll wi-w-win." Stuttering Bill yelled.
I started to walk away but I turned around and screamed, "I'll kill you all! Do you hear me? I'll kill you all." Thy were barely fazed by the words except for Bev. She looked like a ghost, except for the blood dripping from the scratch on her chin. She knows that I know where she lives. But what she doesnt know is that I plan on paying her a visit very soon......
I pulled up to her house to see her in the living room talking to her dad. He lightly caressed her chin where the scrape was and I could tell that she was trying to make it seem like no big deal. He slapped her across the face. Her head snapped to the side and she raised her hand to touch her cheek, but her father grabbed her hand. I didn't have to be up close to know that he was probably squeezing her wrist tightly. He stroked her long red hair and said something. She nodded and he let go. She walked out of the room went somewhere else. I sat and waited for her father to fall asleep but It didn't seem like that was going to happen anytime soon.
Out of nowhere there was a loud scream. It sounded like Beverly was getting murdered. Her father stood up faster then I had ever seen someone stant up. She came running into the room and she was covered in something.... something that looked like blood. But tht wasn't the only thing that was odd about her, her hair was cut very short. Her dad was clearly concerned, but not about the blood. It was like he couldn't even see the blood. He slapped her across the cheek again. But this time it was clearly harder because she fell to the ground. I could see her hand gripping the edge of the window, using it to pull herself up. Whes she stood up she was facing the window. She looked straight at me with a mixed look in her eyes. I quickly smirked and drove off.
