❝donghyuck hyung and renjun ge were against this!❞ holding the shirt being placed inside the plastic tight, chenle scoffed as he stood by the edge of the sidewalk as he tried to balance himself. ❝it was as if they didn't want me to go to school.❞

jisung then quickly pulled the shorter male by the hem of his shirt and glared at the driver who was driving recklessly and almost zooming pass by chenle. ❝no, they just didn't want you to go to an all-alpha institution.❞

with a frown, chenle threw the shirt up high before catching it on time. ❝it's an opportunity, ji!❞

going in front, jisung rushed towards the kitty and gently placed the little kitty to the side before chenle would go and kick it. he then casually walked beside the short male the next second. ❝opportunity in being a meal?❞

seeing that the older had halted from his tracks, jisung swiftly had switched places with the omega to prevent him from bumping anyone that would pass by. ❝i survived a week!❞

rolling his eyes, they continued on walking. ❝it hasn't been a week yet.❞ with his trusted instincts, jisung twirled chenle back to his place from beside him the moment he saw kids running and if it weren't for him doing that then they may have hit chenle with the ball they were throwing.

chenle wasn't even minding his surroundings as he continued to walk while jisung was stressing out with the omega not looking at anywhere while he continued to talk. just like right now, chenle muttered out something about renjun and donghyuck planning on hiring a bodyguard for him when they can't even treat him out for dinner, and he didn't even notice the crack of the sidewalk in front of him.

jisung widened his eyes but before he could pull chenle back, the shorter male had already stumbled on the crack. being the unbothered king he is, chenle just let it all happen and waited for his face to meet the hard ground. the pure blooded had to quickly run to him, wrapping his arm around the omega's waist to catch him from falling and the other arm reaching up to get the shirt that's being thrown up in the air.

having his mouth agape, chenle change it into a smile and patted the alpha's chest proudly. ❝nice catch!❞ he chuckle before snatching the shirt from jisung's hand. ❝by the way, where are we going?❞

jisung heaved out a sigh when chenle looked like he wasn't shaken by what just happened. ❝you'll know when we get there.❞

humming to a song, chenle happily skipped his steps and jisung followed from behind with a small smile. the shorter male looked happy and excited to know where they were off to. jisung could remember those times he'd ask him out on a date and chenle would never stop talking about what he'd expect their day would be only to know it would end differently but still, a date is a date and chenle would always appreciate every single one of it. honestly, chenle can just speak the whole day and jisung wouldn't mind.
