Chapter Fourteen: The Cell Games

(A/N)

Hey, guys. It's me again. I'm still alive.

I forgot to mention in the last chapter that Goku got Dende from New Namek. I know that it's not incredibly important, but I felt like it was too important to leave out.

Anyway, with all that aside, let's get started.

Zetsuro's POV:

I walk up beside Piccolo.

"So, where's Kakarot?" I ask.

"Resting with Gohan. I don't know what in hell has gotten into him, but he feels like they're done training." Piccolo replied.

"He has a lot of faith in the boy. He's not wrong for believing in him, but even I must admit that he might be asking a little bit too much from Gohan." I say in agreement. "But anyway, I need to talk to Kakarot. See you soon."

[Small Timeskip]

"Hey, Kakarot." I said. "What are our chances of getting out alive?"

"Honestly? Not great." He answered.

"That's good to know." I joke. "At any rate, I'd like to know my chances of meeting King Kai."

"Well, from what I can see, you're a great person. You stuck your neck out for me because of an order from my dead father, even though you didn't have to. Even now, you continue to go out of your way to help people, even though you were only sent here to help me. So, yeah, I know that you definitely won't end up in hell."

"That's... reassuring. At least I'll be able to get some training in while I'm dead."

[Timeskip, Beginning of the Cell Games]

3rd Person POV:

"So,"Cell says. "Who will be the first contestant?"

Goku walks up, and says, "You'll be fighting me."

Goku stretches before walking onto the platform. He then stops in front of Cell, and assumes his battle position.

[Timeskip, because this fight ends the same way it does in the Anime]

"Man!" Goku says. "I'm not strong enough to beat you... I forfeit."

This leaves everyone but Gohan, Zetsuro, and Cell confused.

"Gohan, you're-" Goku started, but was interrupted.

"NO!" Zetsuro exclaims. "It's my turn to kick Cell's ass."

Zetsuro immediately charged Cell. He'd observed Goku's fight, allowing him to anticipate Cell's moves and movement. Cell punched towards Zetsuro's face, but Zetsuro blockd it and knee'd Cell in the stomach.

The two kept trading blows. For a while, they seemed to be equal in power. However, Cell was still holding back.

Cell allowed Zetsuro to land a few hits on him and feigned defeat. With Zetsuro off-guard, Cell sends a Death Beam through Zetsuro's back. It pierced his heart and then exited through his chest.

Zetsuro falls to the ground, limp. Cell kicks his body over to the other fighters.

With his last breaths, he tells Gohan, "Let your rage flow. Stop holding back."

With this, his body disappeared.

"This is just a demonstration of what is to come. Now, do any of you fools wish to challenge me? Or perhaps you have realized that you stand no chance against me, and that defeat is inevitable?" He taunted.
