Chapter 11

Monday came and it was kinda weird. Because before I was invisible to them but that day some were smiling at me. I was at my locker, putting all my things then Ashley patted my shoulder."

She said, "Hey."

"Hey". I replied.

"I just want to clarify things Nate. You're going to be my date at the prom. Don't forget it."

Oh shoot I totally forgot about it. "I'm not sure if I'll go to the prom."

"You said it at the party. You can't change it, you will go Nate. By the way, why are you looking like a nerd again?" She did it again, she made me look normal. Whenever she moved, I couldn't stop her. "See you later."

I entered my last subject. Some of the girls were looking at me. I sat on my seat and the girl beside me said hi to me, I just nodded.

Even Mr. Brown was surprised by my appearance. He asked me, "You're Nate."

"Yes Mr. Brown."

He looked at me like he was thinking where did he meet me. "What is your full name Nate?"

I gulped because I knew where the question was heading. "Nathaniel Yeshua Irvine."

"NY and Irvine, that's why you look familiar. You're the son of Charles Irvine? The richest man in the States? I'm sorry Nate, I was just amazed by the fact that you're my student."

The room was so loud because everyone amazed what they heard. I hate it so much. The only person didn't care for the news was Chloe. She was sitting near the window and she was looking outside like she doesn't care at all.

Ashley shouted, "Oh my God! I think I won the jackpot. He's my date at prom."

I heard some girls say, "Wow you're so lucky."

I wanted to end this so I said to Mr. Brown, "I'm sorry I'm not comfortable with this. Can we start the class?"

He blinked his eyes and said, "Of course, sorry Nate."

The bell rang but this time I was the first one who left the room. I got all my things in my locker and walked to the parking lot. I heard someone say hi but I just ignored them.

I was in my room doing homeroom and hating this day. I wished I had someone to talk to but Naomi wasn't here, she had a piano lesson. My parents were not here, I missed them. I suddenly stopped reading because I totally forgot about my father's birthday. I have not decided what I will buy for his gift. My father's got everything, he's rich.

I stopped doing my homework and started to browse what I will buy for him. My first choice was watch but thinking about it my father has a watch worth a million, so I looked for another. Maybe this will be okay as a multi tool pocket knife and it says that I can engrave a name on it. This was a cheap gift for him but it can be useful and different. He likes all the things that we gave him but I hoped he would like it. I ordered it and thankfully I can get it before his birthday.

Since my nerd look was useless, I was starting to wear my normal look. A day passed and there were a lot of people talking to me which I hated. All I did was smiled and nodded. I was also avoiding Ashley and hid from her. I was so sick talking to her.

I was on my way to my car and I saw Chloe in her car. She was cleaning up her things while the car door opened. She was all alone, so I decided to talk to her.

I held her door so she couldn't close it. "Hey."

When she saw that it was me her face changed, she's angry. "What do you want? Go away."

"I promise this is the last time that I will talk to you so please don't get mad. I want to apologize about what I said at the party and everything I did to you. I didn't do it in purpose, I was just a dumb ass, I was stupid in love. You were my first. I've been pretending my identity in this school for four years without making friends or chatting. I'm not good at expressing how I feel to someone. I hope you easily forget all the bad things I did to you. Thank you for everything that you did to me. I learned so much from you. Please be happy Chloe". I smiled even though my eyes were about to cry.

She didn't say a word, she just looked at me like she doesn't care. I walked away and left her. I got in my car and the tears started to fall. I said to her all I wanted to say so I guess I can say that we were totally over. We will never be a couple or become friends.

I wanted to sleep in my room to forget this pain. I was on my way on the stairs, and one of our butlers called me.

Our butler said, " Master Nathan, your parents are here. They waited for you at the swimming pool area."

"Thank you."

My parents and Naomi were in the pool and they were all laughing. I sat on the chaise lounges near them.

I shouted to them, "Welcome home dad and mom!"

My dad asked, "How's school?"

I answered, "Nothing new."

My mom looked at me and was confused. "You aren't wearing your nerd look at school?"

"Yes. They already knew it."

My dad asked, "How are you about it?"

"I became famous. I hated it but I'll get used to it. Only a couple of months and I'll be graduating."

My dad said, "Good to hear. You want to join us?"

Naomi said, "Yeah Nathan join us."

"Nah. I've got a lot of things to do. I need to leave now". I lied, I just need to rest and I was not in a mood.

My mom said, "See you later son."
