Princeton's pov:
Mrs. Brown said, "Okay, today we're going to write about something exciting that has happened to us."
Hmm, that seems like an easy task since that's happening to me today.
I glanced at Crystal and she looked nervous. I wondered why but I didn't ask.
I might seem rude or nosey since it's not my business.
"The catch is, you must write 3 sentences. No more or no less. After you finish writing, we'll give it to our neighbor for constructive criticism." Mrs. Brown explained.
She then continued, "If we finish on time, I'll allow some people to share."
After that, she gave everyone a blank sheet of paper.
She instructed, "Write your name and date in the upper righthand corner of the paper then label it 'An exciting experience'."
Everyone nodded and did as told.
"Ooo your handwriting is pretty." Crystal whispered to me.
I smiled at her and replied, "Thank you."
I looked at her paper and noticed how her handwriting was better than mine.
"Wow, your handwriting is better. My handwriting is trash compared to yours." I told her.
She giggled and shook her head 'no'. She then replied, "No no, my handwriting needs some improvement."
I smiled while saying, "No, mine does, not yours."
She continued giggling then Mrs. Brown said, "Okay class, I'm setting a timer for 20 minutes. In that 20 minutes, you should be writing about the prompt."
"When the timer goes off, switch papers with your neighbor and make as many marks as you need to."
When she finished saying that, everyone got to work.
I started writing on my paper:
Princeton 08/14
An exciting experience
Honestly, an exciting experience that has happened to me, is happening right now. This morning, I got to move into a great house with Jackson, Mateo, Levi, and Charles. It has a really big game room and I can't wait to play in it when I get home!
I finished writing and looked around the classroom to notice that everyone was still hard at work.
I guess I'll just wait until it's time to switch.
Ding!~, ding!~, ding!~
Ding!~, ding!~, ding!~
Finally, the alarm went off and Mrs. Brown said, "Switch papers," while turning off the alarm.
I handed my paper to Crystal and she traded it for mine.
I started reading her work:
Crystal 08/14
