When they get jealous (part 1/2)

Izuku Midoriya:

It was a normal day of training for Class 1-A.

Well... almost.

Aizawa and Vlad King had decided that both classes should train together for the day. And, just like the first time they did that, Shinso also joined the training.

You were going to do one-on-one battles with a partner and after someone lost the winner would tell them what to improve next time.

Everyone was paired with someone from the opposite class for the exercise. You ended up being paired up with Shinso, which you didn't mind.

He had become better with his wrap-scarf and used it to make sure you couldn't get close enough to use your quirk on him.

"You're good. What's your secret?" He tried to brainwash you. You only smirked and shook your head smiling innocently.

Eventually, the match ended with you pinning him on the ground. He was facing the ground as you held both his wrists with one hand the other one glowing, from your activated quirk, near his head and both of your legs holding his down.

"Give up yet?" You asked teasingly.

After some time, and you tightening your grip on his wrists, he groaned, "Fine, you win."

You got off and held out your hand to help him stand up. You told him what he should try to work on and ended with a compliment, "You're good, by the way. I hope you get in class A soon. You deserve it."

"Thanks," he said with a small blush, no one really complimented his skills, "You're fairly skilled yourself. No wonder you're in the hero class."

"Aww, thanks."

You kept talking for some time, not noticing the green haired boy that kept staring at you. Midoriya felt something he had never truly felt before: jealousy. He knew what it was, he's felt it in the past about people born with quirks before he got One for All, but it was barely there.

This time it was different.

He trusted you and knew you wouldn't cheat on him or anything, it didn't make the feeling go away completely, though.

You were laughing at something he said. Your beautiful laugh being given to someone other than him made him almost angry. He was snapped back to his training, when ice spikes came towards him at high speed.

Midoriya was only snapped out of his trance when he found his leg stuck on ice and he had to use his Full Cowl to break it. Still he slipped on a patch of ice on the floor and ended up loosing the training exercise.

Todoroki walked over to him and helped him up. "You were distracted," he stated, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Thanks," Midoriya smiled, but his expression dropped when he saw you laughing with Shinso again. His jaw clenched ever so slightly and it was almost impossible for him to take his gaze away.

Todoroki noticed what he was looking at and suggested, "If it bothers you so much, why don't you go over there?"

"I have no reason to. She's allowed to talk to others, I can't stop her."

"Maybe, but if you tell her it bothers you she'll understand."

Midoriya's eyes got a determined look in them. He listened to Todoroki and walked over to you. He got a slight panic attack on his way over and was about to turn back around, but one glance at Todoroki's crossed-arm stance and reprimanding stare that told him not to even think about turning back got him back on track.
