{  Trapped on an Unknown Island  }

Maya slowly wakes up, feeling a headache, and the rest of her body was sore. Daylight blinds her sight for a moment before she regains clear vision. She finds herself laying on the ground in the middle of a jungle.
Maya slowly stands up on her feet, being careful not to fall back down. She checks her body for any sign of damage. But, she was alright. No broken bones, no cut wounds or bleeding openings, not even wood nor metal pieces jabbed through her limbs.

How was this possible she is alive and not injured?

The last thing she remembered is being on the airplane, the second plane crashing against hers, falling out of the sky. So, why is she not dead? Unless this tropical paradise is heaven itself? She thought it's supposed to be white and gold with clouds, along with angels flying everywhere like the Christians claimed it would be. Though she never believed in God or other religious beliefs.

The jungle is quite beautiful, so it's not so bad.

Maya's nose suddenly catches the scent of smoke and leaking gas. She clamps her nose with her hand to block the awful smell. Surely heaven shouldn't reek like this.

Maya walks towards the source of the stench. As soon as she reached the beach, her eyes widen in horror.

Upon the sandy shore was the wreckage of the two airplanes. Pieces of the planes scattered everywhere. The survivors were screaming, panicking, running from place to place searching for their loved ones. Some were warning others to keep their distance from the gas-leak in case it explodes.
Maya was frozen in shock. This wasn't heaven nor a dream at all, it's a living NIGHTMARE. Her eyes dart back and forth, thinking about what to do. Should she look for her belongings, search for Kevin and the others, or help everyone else?

Suddenly, she heard a dog barking behind her. She turned around and sees it's Sam and Kevin's white dog, but he doesn't have his Serves Dog vest on anymore. Must've lost it.

"Oh, hey buddy. Am I glad to see you— Are you alright?" Maya said as she pets the dog.

Luckily, the dog isn't injured as well. But he was whimpering as if something bad happened to his owners, and he's trying to tell Maya about it. Fortunately, she secretly has a magical gift to understand animals, just like Dr. Dolittle. So she finds out something was wrong.

"Oh no— Where're your owners? Take me to them." Maya asked.

The dog barked before running off to the left side of the beach. "Wait for me!" Maya cried out as she ran after the dog.

The dog leads Maya to Kevin and his band gang.

"Kevin!" Maya called out.

"... Maya! You're alive!" Kevin replied in joy. "And you found our dog— Thank you." The teen hugs his canine companion.

The dog wags his tail and whimpers happily.

The rest of the gang saw Maya and were happy to see her in one piece. However, someone was missing from the group.

"Where is Marilyn?" Maya asked in concern.

The gang was suddenly silent, sadness appeared on their faces. Maya at first was confused. But when Sam starts crying, grabbing her in a full hug embrace, Maya's heart sank and feared for the worst.

Sure enough, something terrible did happen.

"Marilyn..... She... She's dead..." said Kevin.

Maya gasp in shock, couldn't believe what she just heard.

J.D. then stepped aside, showing a huge half piece of the plane's wing. And laying there lifeless, was Marilyn. Her chest had a large piece of sharp metal impaled through her. And her right leg was missing, no doubt sliced off after the impact of the crash. It was clear she must have died of blood loss or was already dead because the metal-shard pierced her heart. Either way, no one could save her. Maya's eyes were soon filled with tears, hugging Sam back to comfort her...

Night was soon approaching, the survivors were preparing to make camp with their own fire-pits. Meanwhile, Maya and her friends had finished burying Marilyn's body, along with her precious belongings she treasured most. Then they each took turns placing flowers on her grave before leaving. Sam stayed behind, still shedding tears for her lost friend. Kevin kneels next to her, comforting her.
Maya went for a walk, leaving the couple alone. She felt sorry for Sam and the others, Marilyn must've been their really close best friend. But now, she's gone. And they're all stranded on an island with no clue how they're going to survive and return home...

Maya started looking for her two bags and a suitcase which has her tent inside. She looked through the plane wreckage, all around the beach, and some part of the jungle near the crash area. Then, at last, she found her suitcase and only one bag. She was unable to find her second bag.

She returned to the beach to find a spot to set up her tent, away from the loud people who were arguing among each other about the situation they're in.

She walked across the beach until she found the perfect spot to set up her own camp. She put up her tent first, build a fire-pit second, then she gathered dry grass and wood to burn. She digs into her bag and finds her box of matches. She lit one of the matches and throws it into the pit, igniting the fire. She sits on a smooth stone rock near the fire and enjoys its warmth...

However, what Maya and other survivors didn't know is that they weren't alone on the island, and they were being watched...

Staring at a crystal orb, Lumorneth watches the poor souls she brought to the island, observing their behaviors to see which one of them will snap first or start a fight. Only one couple catches her attention, a blonde rich woman who was crying about her ruined white dress while her beloved dark hair fiance was trying to calm her down. Their argument made Lumorneth chuckle in delight. She finds the couple hilarious to watch. But then, a marine veteran soldier man steps in between the arguing couple, telling both of them to shut up and relax. He advises them to remain calm and tells them that he'll find a way to contact help. The news made the couple happy, then they joined him to share his campfire.

Lumorneth dislikes the veteran for giving them hope.

"I hate heartfelt mortals. Being a symbol of hope and joy to these people... This I cannot allow. Our master requires these 'sheep' to be full of sorrow, fear, and hopelessness." said Lumorneth in a growled anger tone in her voice.

Suddenly, her daughter enters the room. "Why not send in one of our honored guests to give these poor souls a good fright when they arrive, I'm sure they'll make these humans fear this island?" said Crystal.

"You know what, Crystal. That's not a bad idea— When shall the villains arrive?" Lumorneth replied with an evil smirk.

"Tomorrow, mother. Avalinn has finished delivering the invitations. As soon as she gets back perhaps she and I will go first to begin the terror?"

Lumorneth chuckles. "Not yet, my dear daughter. We'll let the humans rest for the evening. Then, tomorrow night, the 'real fun' begins."

Lumorneth and Crystal laugh together, knowing they're going to enjoy tearing the survivors' sanity and hope apart...

Maya cooks herself dinner and eats alone. After she was done, she then digs into her bag and pulls out a small package of marshmallows. She pierced one marshmallow on a stick and holds it above the fire.

Once the marshmallow was roasted, she grabs a chocolate bar and gram-crackers, making a S'more. It was delicious.

As she ate, she gazed up at the starry night sky, admiring the beautiful stars and the moon...

Soon Maya felt very tired. She yawns as she packs up the garbage, sets it aside her tent, then goes inside and changes into her pajamas.

She tucks herself into her inflated bed and falls asleep.....
