{  New Friends/Flight of Terror  }

"August 14, 2017: I am exhausted this morning!! Because earlier, Mr. Scrow, the Greedy-Jerk Landlord got drunk and was gambling, again! To make matters worse, he was demanding more money from the Daniels Family... Poor Mrs. Daniels, she was scared to death when she saw the angry man at her doorstep. I had no choice but to intervene with my 'fake' Self-Defense gun. It terrified him SO much that he immediately ran away. Serves him right!

Unfortunately, I couldn't stay at that apartment anymore, I said goodbye to my neighbors and then took off in a Taxi..... You know, the more I keep exploring this world, it becomes darker everywhere I go... It's a lot harder living on my own ever since I left my sister and mother five years ago..... Will I ever find a perfect New Home out there?

Well, best to just keep moving, continue searching, and hope for the best..."

Maya finishes writing in her journal and puts the book away in her backpack. She was sitting inside the Taxi heading to the New York City airport. She prays she'll catch her flight in time.
Maya takes out her iPod and listens to some music. She becomes lost within her favorite songs and drifts off into a daydream— Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She snaps back to reality and sees the Taxi driver standing by the open Taxi's back passenger side door. "Ma'am, we're here. You need to leave." said The Taxi-Driver.

"Oh snap! Sorry," Maya replied as she reached into her bag and handed money to the driver. "Keep the change. Have a nice day, sir."

"Uhhhh??? You too, Miss!" said The Taxi-Driver before he returned to work.

Maya rushed through the airport, hurrying to catch her plane. She dug into her pocket and pulled out her ticket, double-checking which plane she needs to get on and when it's leaving. It says 9:15 am. She checks her phone's clock, it says 9:08 am.

Panic stinks in as Maya realizes she has seven minutes left to reach the plane. She starts running through the airport as fast as she could, careful not to bump into anybody.

Unfortunately, Maya does end up running straight into someone, both fall to the floor.

"Oh my god, sorry sorry sorry! I'm such a klutz!" said Maya as she helped the young blonde man back on his feet. "Are you alright? I didn't hurt you, did I? I didn't mean to~"

The young man interrupts Maya and calms her down. "Whoa whoa, relax! I'm fine— No broken bones nor bruises, I'm good— Are you okay? You took a hard fall than I did." The Blonde Young-Man asked.

"Oh, umm... I'll be fine. None of my limps broken either." Maya giggled and blushed a little.

"See. We're both okay. And please, don't blame yourself. It was my fault, I didn't see you coming— My dog got away and I was trying to catch him." said The Blonde Young Man.

"Your dog?" Maya questioned.

Suddenly, they hear a bark, a white wolf-like dog with neon blue eyes and wearing a green Serves Dog vest walked up to them, panting happily and wagging his tail.

"Ah, speak of the devil— Bad dog! Don't take off like that again, you're gonna get us all in trouble." said The Blonde Young Man as he grabbed the dog's leash.

The dog whimpers sadly, his ears droop down. Maya gazed in awe at the beautiful dog.

"D'awwww, aren't you a handsome boy..." said Maya as she pets the dog.

The dog happily panted as the girl petted him.

Kevin laughed a little. "Yeah, he is. Which was the reason why my girlfriend wanted to take him home with us... I'm Kevin, by the way," said Kevin.

"Oh... umm, I'm Maya— Nice to meet you, Kevin," Maya replied as she shook Kevin's hand, a little bit sad to find out that the handsome guy has a girlfriend, but she doesn't let it show.
