Elena now walked out of school. And she saw Klaus there. And smiled. "I wasn't expecting to see you. - such a good surprise." Elena now smiled. "I want to bring you to. - a ball tonight. - as my date. - if you would come?" Klaus now nervous. "Of course I'll come. - I can't wait." Elena now beamed. "Great. - now I'll drive you home." Klaus said as he brought Elena in for a kiss. This made Caroline fuming. She had to do something. Her and Damon. Need to do something. Be there. At the ball. Yes that's it. Caroline smiled to herself. Which didn't go unnoticed by Bonnie. She knew Caroline was up to something.

At the ball. Everyone was staring at Damon and Caroline. As they flirted back and forth. Kissing here and there. Smiling. Knowing all too well that the word will go back to Klaus and Elena. Just like they want it to. They way they need it to. Stefan stood back. Shook his head. This was a bad idea. He knew it. Caroline knew it. Damon knew it. Enzo knew it. But all in all. Here they were. Openly flirting. Openly kissing. Openly laughing. Joking. Smiling.
Like this was going to work. Then it went quiet. All they heard was t steps from a far. As they walked through the door.

Klaus and Elena walked in. With everyone staring at them. Everyone whispering about them. Talking about them. Then they saw Damon and Caroline. They walked to the bar. Without a second glance. They didn't care. For they cared about was one another. Care about enjoying their time together. Before they go their separate ways. Until the next day of course. This girl who never thought she would ever date her once worse enemy. But here she is. And she couldn't stop smiling. And beaming. Feeling so complete. So content.
