The ride back home was silent. Dhritiman once thought to take the long, stop somewhere and talk to her, but one look from her and he abandoned the idea.

The trip back home was like the silence before storm, and to be honest Dhritiman was dreading it! What have I come to? I never had anticipated anything so much when I was with.. No, I can't think of that.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minerva splashed water on her face. Relax Mina. You have to keep calm; there is a much more important thing ahead. Dhriti didn't act out of his character. Always too smart for himself! Planning everything, thinking he is doing the right thing for everyone. Look where he landed with this idiocy! Ending up with me, leading a bland life, and making my life complicated! What life I had before this wedding! I could work anywhere anytime. I had nothing to think of other than my work, I used to sing loudly, dance around, took clients calls at home and look at me now! I have to tip toe in the house, I have to keep an eye on everything. I know, I know marriage changes everything. Specially being a woman there are lot of things you have to take care of, but that happens in a normal marriage. Why do I have to put up with him, when he doesn't have even the decency to acknowledge it!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's almost midnight now, what the hell is she doing in the kitchen? Ma can manage it all. Already she works so hard at her boutique; she came here for four days and look how she is working!

Dhritiman grunted in frustration. Initially he thought Minerva was purposely busy to avoid him, but now it seems...

"What took you so long?" Dhritiman couldn't wait for his wife to settle as she entered the room. Minerva was taken aback by the sudden outburst. She kept staring at him for pretty ten-fifteen seconds before finally asking, "You have anything important to say?"

What? seriously? Why is she behaving as if nothing happened? "Minerva, I am really sorry for what happened in the evening. I swear it wasn't on purpose. I just thought you would know about clothes better, and..-"it's okay Dhriti. You needn't explain. I momentarily lost my temper. I could have handled it far more calmly." Dhriti's shoulder sagged. Thank god, she wasn't angry anymore. "But that doesn't mean, what I said there, nullifies. You will have to inform me when you talk to her, and you will have to take me into consideration when you take any decision." Dhritiman nodded. What else could he do? He hardly understood what Minerva is talking about. She is speaking of consideration. But consideration for what? And bout Tiya, what is there to decide? Is Minerva thinking of getting separated from him, so that he can be with Tiya? His heart started beating like anything. Ohho! I shall surely go mad like this. "Miner..." But she was already sound asleep.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Good morning ma" Dhritiman greeted his mother as she place the tea tray. He looked around. Ma, baba, Riddhi everyone is here, where the damn is she? Mrs. Gupta looked at her son. Such change in just a span of three months! They weren't wrong when they their children married. Obviously not like this! Dhriti didn't even realise how happy and contended he looked and sounded these days. If only her Minu would feel like this. Hope time heals her, like it healed Dhriti.

Where the damn is she! Dhriti's eyes searched for his eyes once again. "She went to her home this morning." "This is her home ma!" Dhritiman paused as he saw his mother smiling. "Babu, everything works only when its two way." She ruffled his hair and left.

And before he realised he was in his room, changing to go out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"How I missed you!" Minerva's father hugged her tight. Her mother rolled her eyes, though her eyes were moist too.

"I wish I could live here all my life, baba." Minerva hugged him back.

And the bell rang in her mother's mind. Did they do the right thing? It wasn't a secret that her daughter and son-in-law didn't share the same room. It wasn't a secret that were far from being a happy couple. But in all these months didn't their relationship improve even a little bit? When Mrs. Gupta had begged for her Minu, her heart had cried for Dhriti. Even Minerva who was so outspoken and direct was shocked to see him like that had given in. But what now? Her eyes have lost the spark. Never before her collarbones was this visible! Isn't the plaiting of her hair thinner than before! No, she will have to talk to her.

"You guys settle down. I am brining up breakfast." Announcing her mother left.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Jamai er jonne special lunch. Bajar korte berochhi." Announced her father and left. ( Special lunch for our son-in-law. I am going to the market.) And this time Minerva rolled her eyes. Which didn't go unnoticed by her mother. But Mrs. Roy was waiting for this moment. Taking her daughter's hand she sat on the couch.

"Tell me honestly babu, is everything okay? We know its not normal between you two. But still..."

"Ma, I am very tired. Tired of everything." Minerva let out a sigh and dropped her head in her mother's lap.

Dhritiman paused from stepping inside. It was his wife's voice. She was tired of everything!

N.B: Hello! I am back with another chapter. It's kinda confusing me to write the chapters, for Minerva's character,  I portrayed her very strong and now I have to keep the tempo all through the story. But even strong people have their lows. I hope I am doing justice to this character. She is my favourite of all the female protagonists I wrote about. So, I am taking time in writing the chapters.

Please please give me and this story all your love. Hope you like it.

Please do vote and share your views in the comment section. I am open to criricism.

Thank you.
