Lexi's POV

I woke up on my own in the tent we all shared. I could faintly hear Harry and Hermione talking outside.

"How long has she been out?" Hermione asked.

"10 hours. If I hadn't panicked, she'd be fine," Harry's voice replied.

"Harry, she is fine. You saved her. Her body just needs to recharge,"

I swung my legs over the makeshift bed I slept on and stood up, walking outside. Harry and Hermione spun their heads towards me as I stepped out.

"Lexi!" Harry ran up to me, squeezing me tightly. I winced, clearly bruised from when I was constricted by that stupid snake. Harry instantly let go, raising my shirt slowly to see my ribs. I looked at my ribs, not seeing any sign of injury. One of the perks of wolf healing.

"We're so glad you're alright," Hermione said, hugging me gingerly. "You scared us!"

"I'm okay, now. What did I miss?" I asked.

"You know how the snitch has flesh memories?" Harry asked. I nodded my head, "Well, I was thinking a couple of hours ago, how the first time I caught it, I nearly swallowed it. So I pressed it to my lips and a message appeared, "I Open at the Close,"

"What does that mean?" I asked, confused.

"We're not sure. Hermione had a brilliant idea, though. This was only a few minutes before you woke," Harry answered, looking at Hermione.

"Harry and I were talking about how to destroy the locket and I was thinking about how in one of the books I read, the Sword of Gryffindor is goblin-made. It doesn't take in dirt or rust, only that which makes it stronger. When Harry stabbed the basilisk with the sword, the basilisk venom was absorbed into the Sword. Like how the basilisk fang worked to destroy Tom Riddle's diary, the Sword, now tainted with basilisk venom, will be what we use to destroy the Horcruxes,"

"Hermione, you're a fucking genius!" I wrapped my arms around her tightly, ecstatic that we have a lead on our mission finally. "So where are we currently? I was pretty out of it when we apparated,"

"The Forest of Dean. I came here loads of times with my parents when I was little," Hermione started reminiscing and I didn't want to interrupt her. We all sat against the large trees, Hermione with her book and me in Harry's lap.

"Hermione, where's my wand?" Harry asked, interrupting Hermione's daydreams.

"Um...well..."

"Hermione, where is it?"

"...As we were apparating, it snapped. I tried reparing it but wands are different. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner,"

"It's fine," Harry said, not meaning it. "Lexi, let me borrow yours. You need to go inside and stay warm,"

"The cold doesn't bother me. Wolf, remember?" I smilied, trying to distract him from the fact that he is wandless.

"Fine, you can stay out with me. Hermione, you go back inside. I can tell you're getting cold,"

Hermione nodded and obediently went back inside.

"Are you mad at her?" I asked. Harry didn't answer. "Harry,"

"Not really. I'm just worried about how I'm supposed to protect you and Hermione when I don't have a wand."

"You don't have to worry about that, I have to worry about protecting you," I kissed him on the cheek before we had a look around our new campsite.

Harry and I continued to sit outside, on a patrol of sorts, when we heard a rustle.

I readied my wand in hand, my eyes scanning out surroundings.

We saw a bright light in the pond, which turned into a Patronus in the form of a doe.

"That's my mother's patronus," Harry whispered to himself, climbing up and heading to the pond.
