Lexi's POV

After Ron yelled at us and left, we all seemed to stay silent and not talk to each other. Even though what Ron said was under the influence of the locket, it was still true and hurt.

Hermione seemed depressed, Ron having abruptly broken up with her. I comforted her and she kept thanking me for being there for her, but a light - a brightness - was missing from her eyes. Harry was similar, having his best friend use the ultimate verbal weapon against him - bringing up his parents' death. Harry seemed both angry and sad and, even though I'd encourage him to talk to me, he kept his silence, trying to convince me he was fine. I never believed it though and thought he might have been trying to convince himself more than me.

To try and take our minds off Ron, I decided the three of us would take a walk through Godric's Hollow; where Harry lived while his parents were still alive. Harry didn't seem to mind the idea and the three of us apparated to Godric's Hollow, Harry taking us to the wreck of his childhood home.

Next, we walked silently past the graveyard, Harry stopping to visit his parents' graves. Hermione and I walked to the other side of the small graveyard, giving Harry some space. When his shoulders started to shake, I realised he was crying. I walked closer and heard him whispering, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry,", over and over, his tears melting through the think layer of snow coating the ground.

"Harry?" I asked, hesitant to interrupt him. He nodded, letting me sit by him. "Why are you sorry?"

"It's my fault my parents died and it's my fault that he's trying to kill all of us," Harry cried, starting to sob again. I wrapped my arms around him, planting a kiss on his cheek, the tear soaking my lips.

"None of that is your fault! It's not your fault that your parents were on Voldemort's hitlist and it's not your fault that he's after you to seek revenge. You didn't force us to come with you; we decided to. Not only to have your back while you stop Him, but because friends stick together. Where you go, we go."

Harry turned to me, slowly leaning in to kiss me on the lips.

"It doesn't bother you that you may be used by Voldemort for him to get me?" He asked, softly, not meeting my eyes.

"No. If it means you can beat him, then I'll do anything,"

"Anything?" Harry asked, doubting me.

"Anything." I confirmed. Harry turned to look back at his parents' grave, sadness washing over his features once again.

"Harry, I don't know what it's like to lose my parents. For the first 11 years of my life, I had no idea who my mom was. My dad raised me as best he could, send me to this really shitty, small school on the rez. I have no idea what it's like for you, knowing not only that your parents are gone, but that you have no family left. Just know that, no matter what happens in the future, my family is your second family."

"They will, hopefully, eventually be my in-laws, someday," Harry said, smiling for the first time in a few days.

"Someday," I confirmed, smiling back at him.
