Lexi's POV

Harry and I waited until everyone else had left until we mounted our brooms. This served as an ample distraction for Harry and I to fly as fast as possible to the Burrow.

Harry and I stood side-by-side in the yard and I nodded at him, silently saying I was ready. He returned the nod and we set of into the sky. As we left the protection of Harry's house, we were swarmed by numbers of dementors. If we were the first ones to leave, there would've been many more.

"Expecto Patronum!" Harry and I both cast, Harry on his right, me on my left. We hoped this would keep the dementors away while we flew.

The Patronus didn't help protect us from all the dementors and some flew straight at us.

"Stupefy!" Harry and I cast continuously.

Suddenly out of nowhere, I saw an owl heading towards the packs of dementors near me.

"Jessie, no!" I saw her get smothered by the dementors and then fall to the ground, dead.

Tears escaped my eyes but I continued flying and soon enough, we were in the Burrow.

I didn't realise until we landed that my features had changed back to normal.

"Harry, Lexi! You're alive!" Hermione shouted, glad. She pulled us in for a group hug and I awkwardly patted her back until she let go.

We walked inside the house and sat, impatiently waiting for the others. A while later, we heard a call from outside the house.

"Someone help! Quickly!" I heard Remus shout. A let out a sigh of relief that he was alive but my heart sped up as to why he would need assistance. Harry, Hermione, Kingsley Shacklebot, Mrs Weasley and I ran outside and saw why Remus needed help. George was holding fabric to the side of his head and blood was seeping through the thin fabric.

"George!" Molly shouted, running over to her son. Since George was weak, his hand dropped from the side of his head, where I saw he was missing an ear. I was thoroughly repulsed by the fact that George just had a hole in the side of his head, but snapped out of it as I ran over and helped Molly carry George inside. We rested him on the couch while Remus grabbed bandage for Mrs Weasley, which she tightly wrapped around George's head.

After George was tended to and unconscious, I walked over to Remus who was standing agitatedly by the couch.

"You okay?" I asked, startling him a bit as he didn't realise I was there.

"I'm not injured, if that's what you're asking." Remus smiled slightly at me, "Snape was the one who fired the spell which hit George's ear. He tried to kill me, too. That fucking--"

"Remus, there are children around!" Molly scolded him.

"Molly, these children already know the language I'm using and even use it themselves. Have you heard Lexi when she--" I threw my hands over Remus' mouth, stopping him from saying whatever he was going to say. Molly turned back and walked over the check on George, as I lifted my hands of Remus' mouth.

"Never talk about my swearing. I'd like to be able to stay here in the future, if you don't mind," I tried to be serious but both Remus and I ended up laughing anyway.

"I'm worried about Tonks. She should've arrived by now," Remus said, the smile dropping from his face.

"I'm sure she'll be fine. I'm worried about my friends, too,"

Remus pulled my into a hug and patted my back. I hugged him back eagerly. He was like a second father to me.

Suddenly, Ron and Tonks walked in the door, looking very flustered.

"Ron!" I wrapped my arms around him, so happy he was safe.

I looked to see Tonks and Remus embracing, leaning in to kiss.

Fred and Arthur Weasley came in not long after them, followed by Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley.

A few minuted later, Mundungus Fletcher rushed in, alone.

"Where's Mad-Eye?" Harry asked.

"We got ambushed and I-I panicked. Moody was hit by Voldemort's Killing Curse and fell to the ground," Fletcher was starting to sweat, looking guilty

"Fletcher, you know that's not the whole story. This coward disapparated, leaving Moody vulnerable. Fleur and I were close by but couldn't do anything as we had Death Eaters hot on out trail."

Anger seethed through me and I stormed up to the tiny man that cowered before me.

"Why would you leave him to fend for himself, you cowardly little man? Moody would never abandon anyone of us, so why did you leave him to fenf for himself, ultimately resulting in his death?" When Fletcher wouldn't answer me, I grew increasingly more angry, "Tell me!" I shouted, making Fletcher jump.

"Lexi, calm down," Harry saw how much I was shaking and knew that if I didn't calm down, I would injure a few people and wreck the house. Harry tried to pull me away but I threw my elbow out, catching him on his cheekbone. He cried out and let go, as I ran up to Fletcher again and pushed him against the wall with my arm.

I was pulled back by another person and realised it was Remus.

"Lexi, you don't want to phase, not here," I was calming down a little, but was still violently shaking. "Deep breaths, Lexi," I did as Remus instructed and my shaking slowly stopped.

I gave Fletcher, who was cowering against the wall, a death stare and walking over to Harry. He was sitting on the couch with a bag of ice pressed against his cheek.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened to me. I was just so angry that he left Moody for dead," I pulled the bag of ice off his cheek and lightly touched his cheek, where a bruise was already forming.

"It's fine, really. It doesn't hurt." Harry smiled slightly before wincing.

I gave him a look which let him know that I knew he was lying.

"You don't have to act tough, Harry. If you think I would love you more if you were tough, then you're wrong. I love you for who you are," I told him, expressing myself.

"I love you too," He smiled before leaning in to kiss me. We were kissing for a few seconds before I realised the room was quiet. I opened my eyes and looked around to see everyone staring at us.

"Keep going. It was just getting interesting," Fred said, laughing.

I laughed and awkwardly stood up.

"We'll continue later when we're alone," Harry whispered in my ear.

I smiled at him and nodded and he wrapped his arm around my waist.
