new friends
after about a day or two we finally made it to Shelbyville. we took a turn I saw a sign 'Gaslight addition' the place looked nice, kids running around, newlywed couples, and one empty house.
we made it to our new house it was big, bigger than my house in L.A. this house was ginormous. we walked in and saw that it wasn't as big but it was still huge I ran up the stairs so I can pick out my room first. I picked out a room that was painted light green with built-in bookshelves, a sitting area by the window, and there were like three windows. after the moving guys came and brought my bed into my room I decided to go on a run check out the neighborhood a little. While running I spotted my brother's car (two of my brothers followed moms car) the car was going slow cause of all the kids running around, so I ran up to the car.
"I got the coolest room in the house," I said while running beside the car
"I got the coolest room in the house," they mocked
I scoffed then ran home, I passed by most of the older type of kids playing red rover in a backyard I just smiled at how fun they were having. I started decorating my room with pictures of all my family and friends I thought it would be a good idea to put some newspaper kinda vintage I guess, it looked so pretty when it was done. I went on the roof to watch the sunset, Wendy and I used to just sit on the roof and watch the sunset sometimes just admire the stars mother nature sure is beautiful. once the sun was fully set I started writing in my journal
'Moving doesn't change who you are. it only changes the view outside your window. I just moved in our new house its nice in Shelby so far i-' i was interrupted by my mom
"hey dinners ready" she said poking her head out the window
"okay" I started making my way back in the house.
when I have finished my food I walked around the house since I didn't do that yet it was a good house the backyard was big with two big trees. I walked in front to find my brothers on a ladder putting up the basketball hoop.
"Hey, can you take the soccer net to the back?" Landon asked
"yeah sure," I said while grabbing the soccer net
I put it down in between the two trees. I then went to bed
I woke up to someone shaking me I opened my eyes just a little to see my mom I then groaned and went under my blankets she began shaking me again and whispered "more pictures arrived" I jumped up and checked out the pictures. I smiled at them and hugged my mother
"Thanks for getting them printed," I said
"Your very welcome, now get up it's almost ten," she said pulling me up I groaned again but gave up and got dressed into a tank top with a baseball jersey it was hot so I put on black shorts. I ate some cereal and grabbed my bike from the garage I did pass by a diner yesterday i just don't know which direction it is so I asked my mom.
"Hey mom, remember that diner we passed by?" I asked
"yeah," she said turning toward me
"do you know which way it is?" I asked again
" go straight that way then turn left it should be there"
"ok thanks, mom" I got on my bike and drove in her directions and saw the diner I entered and instantly a girl said, "you don't look very familiar are you new?" I then turned
"yeah I just moved here yesterday"
"well come sit with us, I'm Samantha," she said reaching out for a handshake I shook her hand
"This is Roberta, Chrissy, and Teeny," she said pointing toward the three girls
"I'm Tina but as sam said you can call me Teeny," she said
"four black cows that'll be dollar-sixty boys," the waitress said
"we're girls," Chrissy said
"I know"
"Would you want anything while I get the change?" she asked me
"umm yeah what they're having" she smiled then walked off
"she is so off," Chrissy said
"well what do you expect she's a witch," teeny said everyone gave her a look of confusion
"I swear she's got voodoo dolls and everything I saw 'em and hear this one of the dolls looked exactly like principle winters guess what the was a needle sticking right in the middle of its heart I saw it the morning he had his heart attack" and right on cue, she came walking back giving me my drink and them their change. "dollar-sixty," she said I gave her the exact amount everyone just glared at her she nodded and walked away my brothers walked in.
"that's my brothers I'm going to go sit with them," I said
"ok, hey what area do you live in?" sam asked
"gaslight addition" I replied
"no way we live there too"
"ok then see you sometime" I walked to my brothers
