"Rise and shine!"  Cameron rips the covers off of me, and I glance at my watch, 6:00 am.

I yawn, "OK, OK, I'm up."  Cameron has clearly recently taken a shower, because his hair is damp.

"Shower, get dressed, pack, and you have forty-five minutes... Go!"

I immediately spring out of bed, shower in five minutes, get dressed in another five, pack in fifteen, and still have fifteen minutes. I eat, brush my teeth, and a ready to go within forty-five minutes.

"Not bad," says Cameron in between bites of eggs and bacon.

"Better than you, " I tease.

Cameron's mom stops cooking, "Already ready? Cameron can't even get ready that fast, and he's been doing this for years now. This is the only time that he's got a marry mission."

Cameron chuckles, " Mom, stop."

I blush slightly, but only just.

"Aw, Cameron, look, she's blushing because of you. That's adorable!" she squeals.

That, my friend, makes me turn tomato red.  I can feel my face and my chest burn like the Great Peshtigo Fire.  Okay, maybe not that extreme, but definitely a good comparison.

I look over at Cameron, and realize that he's blushing, too.  Not as bad as I am, though.

"Who's ready to ditch it?" Cameron breaks the awkward silence.

Me and his mom both nod, and rush off to grab our bags.  We return to find that Cameron isn't there.

The first thing I think is No, I can't let another person leave me and return beaten and weak. But then Cameron walks up behind me and puts his hands around my waist, and his chin on the space in between my neck and shoulder.

"Cameron, that scared the living death out of me." I scold him.

"Yea, but you liked it when I snuck up behind you." He says.

"You are so mean."

"Want me to fix that?"

"Cameron, I'm gonna ki-" He kisses me again. Oh, my God why does this keep happening? Needless to say, I like it, but why does it keep happening and then he pretends that nothing happened. It's crazy!

But, wait, this kiss is different. This time, he wraps his hands around my waist, and really kisses me. It's a different sensation than when he kissed me the first time. It's a calm one, though.

A soft moan escapes my lips, and I can feel him smiling. We break apart, our foreheads pressed together, and he presses his lips against mine once again. I find myself wrapping my arms around his neck and standing on my tippy-toes.

He pulls away, and stays. "Let's go."

"Okay." I can't even begin to describe how excited I am for this adventure. I'm going to beat whoever this 'Master Ian' dude is.

Oh, did I mention, Cameron has been teaching me how to speak like a normal person, so that nobody suspects us. Hehe!

"Cameron! Anna! Let's go! We have a long journey ahead, but if we leave now we can make it there by eleven PM!" His mom calls from the kitchen.

"We're coming!" Cameron calls back. "Let's ditch it."

We climb into the car, bags all packed, and head off for our journey to Mocaane.  Cameron turns down the offer of front seat to sit in back with me. I suddenly remember to ask his mom her name.

"What is your name, I keep forgetting to ask." I say to her.

"My name is Sheldon. But you can CA me Shelly since it's more girly."

I laugh, "Thanks."

I rest my head on Cameron's shoulder, and he grabs my hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze. I find myself drifting off, and I tell myself it can't happen. But unfortunately it does.

Cameron has drifted off, too. So I take the opportunity to get some extra sleep.  As I slip into slumber, a strange dream occurs.

-----

The girl with purple hair stands in front of me, blood gushing from her face as she is beaten by an invisible figure. Her terrified screams cry out to me for help, but I am in a glass container, able to hear everything, but no one able to hear me.

Cameron comes strolling out from a door that isn't there.

"It's over for her, just tell us and we can let her die in peace."

I scream answers, but he can't hear me.

All he does is shake his head, looking disappointed.

She is beaten even harder, until she collapses to the ground. I can see her last words as she mouths them:

I will find a way. You will die. This is what happens when you trust people you don't know...  Be prepared for letting go of your life.

Then, she just dies.

Just like that, blood still pouring out of her from every line where that whip hit her.

I will destroy that whip.

-----

"Anna? Anna!?" Cameron shakes me awake.

I jump, seeing his face makes me so nervous for my life, that I can't look at him for much longer.

"Is something wrong?" Shelly asks.

I shake my head to clear it, "No, no. Of course. I just had a bad dream, that's  all."

But, believe me, that's only the start.
