"Are you sure you're okay?" Cameron asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, like I said, only a bad dream." I reply.
We sit in silence for the next couple hours. At noon, his mom stops to get us food, which I supply with the hospital card. Boy, am I glad that I snagged that.
I'm worried about Anna. I never thought about it, but losing her hospital card could have big consequences. I mean, she could get fired. Then she could end up at that lab and-
"I think we're gonna make it there by ten-thirty." Shelly proudly announces.
Me and Cameron both congratulate Shelly for being so awesome and driving really well. The roads, surprisingly, haven't been all that bad. I look at my watch, 9:04. Really close to getting there.
I invite Cameron to try Angry Birds on my iPod. He falls in love with the game and I laugh every time he loses. This keeps him entertained for about half and hour.
Then we talk about what will happen when we get there. Basically, we get there, get in, kidnap Ian, get out. Simplicity in itself.
Only I don't think it's going to be that simple.
This, this Ian guy is going to be expecting us, I know he is. I can feel it in my gut.
So I share my opinion, and no luck on changing their minds. I check my watch again, 10:00.
I see a large metal structure in the distance. It's huge. Like, really big huge. Oh my goodness. I can see rows upon rows of people guarding it. How on earth are we gonna get past that?
"Welcome,"His mom starts, "To the laboratory of Master Ian."
