"What's the Woodland Mansion?" Payton asked the question we were all wondering.

"I don't know." Noah sighed. "We've never seen it. It could be anywhere. What we do know is it's a big maze at at the end is the way back to the real world."

Maddie nodded in understanding. "Yeah, well we're not planning on leaving without our friends."

"Hey, I was wondering," Maddie inquired. "before we were in a beautiful part of the woods, and now they look, dark. Why?"

"You must have been near the castle." Tommy said.

Payton gasped with excitement. Her eyes grew bright and it was the first time I actually saw her smile a genuine smile. "There's a castle here! Who lives there!"

"I don't know, it's been empty for years." Tommy said. Payton's bright, happy, smile quickly went away and she was back to hiding half her face with her hair and staring down at her shoes.

"Earlier you said you thought we were centaurs." It was my turn to ask a question. "What exactly do you mean, centaurs don't exist."

"They do here." Is all Kevin said. "As well as werewolves, griffins, ogars, and cyclops."

"And this." Said Noah, pulling out a piece of paper from his back pocket. On the piece of paper, there was a monster drawn and it was the scariest thing I could ever imagine.

It's over all body shape was of some kind of large dinosaur, and had a tail of a dragon. It had red scales and sharp claws that could tear anyone to shreds in seconds. Instead of a tounge, the beast had five thick, long, cobras. It had millions of razer sharp teeth and had yellow beady eyes. He almost reminded me of a much scarier version of Bowser.

Above it were three letters written in black. M- E- D. MED. That must have been what it was called, a MED.

"What is that thing?" Max asked agape. He clearly couldn't read.

"Well I can say it and summon one right now!?" Tommy said. I didn't like that idea very much, that thing would kill all of us in seconds.

"Cool!" Said Max. "Do it!"

We all looked at him like he was a mad man, he was a mad man.

"Are you crazy, or stupid?" Tori said. "That thing will kill us!"

"I'm not crazy," Max said. "I just want to tame it. That thing would make a cool pet!"

"These things are highly dangerous." Noah said. "Taming it would definitely not be in your best interest."

"But it's not all bad." Oliver said. "There's unicorns and deer fairies, but a lot of them are in hiding because of the ogar-cylopse war."

"So..." Said Tori. "Are we done here, I'd kinda like to find my friend."

"We can help." Said Kevin.

"We can?" Said Tommy, annoyed his friend just voulenteered them.

"Yeah!" Said Oliver. "And maybe they could help us find the Woodland Mansion."

"Sounds good to me." Said Tori. "but we better start looking now."

"Fine." Said Tommy. So the nine of us, Max, Tommy, Noah, Kevin, Oliver, Tori, Maddie, Payton, and I, began the search to find our friends, and make our way home.

As we walked through the woods, it was silent. None of us talked to anyone; and it was an akward silence to.

After about only a minute, Maddie couldn't take the silence anymore. "So any idea of how we're going to find our friends?" She asked.

Noah just shurgged. "Not really, the woods are huge they could be anywhere."

"Well that doesn't help." Sighed Tori, kicking a stone with her shoe.

"Can you just stop beging negative for one moment, Tori!" Yelled Maddie.

"I'm not being negative, I'm stating facts." Tori said, growing angry herself. Their little dispute put the whole group to a halt. We just stood there and watched them argue over nothing.

"That's exactly what a negative person would say!" Maddie huffed.

Just then, the ground and trees began to shake. A big roar shook through the trees from behind us. Tommy made a mad dash away from it, leaving us behind. I began to strongly dislike him.

"What is it?" Asked Payton, as terrified as the rest of us.

"No time for talking!" Yelled Kevin, running the same direction as Tommy. "Just run!" Maddie, Noah, and Tori didn't have to be told twice. They ran after Kevin, not even looking back. I knew what it was, the beast from the drawing.

"Guys, we should run now." Said Oliver, backing up from the direction of the roars.

"Can't." Said Payton. "Too scared." He body was shaking in fear and she was paler than the color of snow. He eyes wide staring in the direction of where the loud, aggressive roars were coming from.

"Don't you want to find your friends!?" Oliver asked, getting anxious. That snapped me out of my fear. I started running, but stopped when I noticed Payton and Oliver still behind. "Come on Payton." Oliver said, tugging her arm now. "You don't want to meet one of these things."

"I'm scared." Was all she responded with. Her voice sounded so dry as she trembled.

"Do it for your friend." Oliver said. Payton turned around and started running, Oliver at her side. I continued too. My heart was racing a thousand miles per second.

I didn't look back until I heard a scream of utter terror, like some had just been murdered in cold blood. When I looked back, I saw Payton in the claws of a giant beast, a MED.
