I washed my hands before going outside of the restroom. Jake and his girlfriend is not there anymore. Huh. Maybe they already went home.

I walked timidly and saw Kevin waiting for me.

"Come on, big guy! Let's ride the rollercoaster first!" I clapped my hands.

He jumped in surprise. "What the heck? I thought you're not gonna come out anymore," he laughed as he held my hand. "Okay. Let's go."

Oh no. He might get the wrong idea. What could go wrong? A boy and girl who are best friends can hold hands, right?

I sighed. Me and Kevin and searched for the rollercoaster ride. We went to the counter and gave our tickets.

"Are you scared?" he asked because I was biting my fingernails. I'm not scared of heights. I can do this.

"No. Of course not," I laughed it off.

We immediately sat on the ride. We are seated on the second to the front of the rollercoaster. What the hell. I can see the buildings outside of the amusement park.

"Oh my God."

Kevin laughed because of my reaction. "What now?" he tapped my shoulder to assure me that it's okay. I smiled at him.

The ride started and I was screaming my ass off. Kevin just kept on laughing at me through the ride. When it finished, we decided to eat first.

We chose to eat in a fast food chain. Their menu is mostly burgers and fries.

We ordered our food to the counter and sat on one of the tables.

"You looked like you're gonna pass out there, " he chuckled. We were seated now after putting the food tray on the table.

"Fine. I admit it. It's scary, okay?" I accepted my defeat.

He suddenly put his hand on my head and caressed it. I flinched.

"Hey. Stop it!" I exclaimed quietly.

He looked at me with wide eyes. "Okay," he looked away and became silent that it became awkward.

We started eating because of the awkwardness. He didn't look at me even for a second.

I don't want him to think that I want to be in a relationship with him. This is just so hard for me.

I got my cellphone in my bag to ease the awkwardness from us more. I pretended to text someone. I bit my lip.

After a few minutes, when we finished our food. I saw the familiar couple again entering the restaurant. I quickly hid my face in my cellphone.

Is this a coincidence? Why do I always see him?

They walked to the counter and fell in line. Jake's girlfriend is clinging on to him like a koala. She kept on talking but Jake is just nodding and is not even paying attention to her. This man is unbelievable. I shrugged.

"Alice, let's go now. I want to ride the big boat ride that swings," Kevin said excitedly.

I saw Jake looked at our side. He eyed us curiously.

"You mean Anchor's Away?"

"Yeah. Whatever the name of that ride is. Let's go" he took my hand again. I sighed again.

As we're heading out, I looked back at Jake and his girlfriend. He was looking at us and our hands. When he saw me looking at him, he immediately looked away and talked to his girlfriend.

When we already went out of the restaurant, the nature has called me again. "Fall in line to the counter already, Kevin. I'm just gonna go the restroom."

"Again?" he whispered. "Just make it fast."

I nodded and ran towards the restroom. I was already near in front of the restroom's door when someone held my wrist. I faced the person who held me.

"Alice.. you're here, " Jake greeted in a low voice.

What the hell?

"Yeah, I supposed I am. Hello, " I answered sarcastically.

He bit his lower lip and smiled.

My heart almost jumped out of my body. What is with this guy that makes me feel weird things?
