Chapter Three: I Becomes We

"You were out late. Y/n right?" A girl with reddish brown hair asked me. She was hanging off the edge of the top bunk like a child would.

"Yes."

"Great! I'm Sasha, your bunkmate. I already called top bunk though! Oh and do you have any snacks? I'm kind of hungry. I didn't get enough at dinner." Words spewed quickly from her lips, making me worry that I wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully here.

"No, I do not."

She looked disappointed as she made her way from her unusual position on the bunk and hopped down to the floor next to me.  A small blonde girl gave out a giggle. She was very pretty, almost angelic. At first glance you would think she a noble women, perhaps here because she wanted to escape high society or get back at her aristocratic parents.  She was very short too and had beautiful big blue eyes. She looked up at me from where she was sitting and smiled. I was so occupied by creating a believable story about her in my mind that I almost didn't hear her when she greeted me. "Hello, I'm Krista. Nice to meet you." her voice was as pretty as she was. Her soft and sweet tone made it seem as every word she spoke had been drizzled in honey and sugar.

I looked to see another brunette on the top bunk above Krista. She had freckles and short hair. She observed me silently,  not bothering to introduce herself. On the other side of the room was Mikasa on a top bunk with another blonde, blue eyed girl on the bottom bunk. This blonde was taller and slim. She had a hooked nose and her hair was tied up. She stared intently into a book, paying me no mind and instead flipping the pages of whatever story she was reading.

Sasha must've caught my curious gaze, prompting her to introduce the other two. "That silent blonde is Annie. And the brunette up there above Krista is Ymir. Just in case you wanted to know." She chirped. I nodded, and sat down on my bed, instantly sprawling my body out across the mattress as my body sunk into it.

"The ladies room is just through that door if you wanted to get comfortable and take a bath." Krista pointed to a door at the opposite end of the room.

"Thanks." I grabbed a pair of women sleepwear and undergarments from under my bed. The commander had asked someone to provide them for me since I hadn't brought anything with me. Along with 4 pairs of sleepwear, there were also 4 white blouses, 4 pairs of tan pants, 6 pairs of undergarments and socks and 4 pairs of regular clothing for when we go visiting in the towns.

I made my way to the empty bathroom. There were 4 baths, 4 storage units to put clothing, a closet full of towels, and privacy drapes to separate the baths and toilets. I grabbed a towel and brought it over to a random tub. I put my clothes on top of the towel instead of putting them in the storage compartments. I began to run the water until it was steaming. I was excited as hot water ran down my hand, I hadn't taken a warm bath in years. I started to undress and fold my clothes, making sure to put them neatly down on the ground by my clean clothes.

I stepped into the tub and as I sat down, a feeling of relief swept through my body like a bolt of electricity. My muscles were soothed and all of the tension I had built up evaporated with the steam. The warm water caressed every crevasse of my body. Just as I had settled down, the door opened and a pair of feet were visible beneath the drapes. "Hey y/n, it's Sasha. I'm just gonna be in the bath to the left of you!" the noisy brunette moved into the next tub. The ruffling and noise of her clothes falling messily on the ground echoed quietly throughout the large room. I could hear Sasha start the water and jump in. The water from her tub splashed onto the ground and spilled over to my side barely missing my dry clothes by half an inch. I shook my head, annoyed that I was in fact not going to get to have a nice, relaxing and quiet bath.
