Chapter 5: The Past Haunts Me

Liv's Point of View (8 Months Ago) 

The alcohol splashes onto my shirt as the party raves on. The lights and the music making impossible to think so I just let go. Cierra is dancing with Jake and wow I have never seen her so happy. Daniel shouts and is howling as if he became a wolf. He is so energized and amazed. 

We are at some abandoned high school, the roof is broken in and you can see the stars shine bright. "LSD" Daniel shouts to the party as many of the boys at least get in line for the drug. Jake is the first in line and that is when Cierra rolls her eyes. He hits the drugs hard. 

He starts to dance with Cierra, his hand runs throw her long brown hair. I head out to the back of the building where the team pool once was. The pool is half filled and it's covered with a green tint from the dirt and mold. 

People surrounded by the pool, they are all dancing and sweating when someone let's out a huge cry. We look to the second floor of the school where yo can see a figure approaching the window. Jake stands on the window sill and looks down as if he is about to jump. 

The party yells and pleads for him to jump and land in the water which is only like three feet deep. "Fuck, do not jump Jake, you'll die" I yell up putting my hands around my mouth to be as loud as possible. The encouragement continues as a familiar voice can be heard echoing behind Jake. 

"Babe get down" Cierra shows terrified. She slowly and carefully gets Jake down. He then picks her up and tries to jump. She is shouting and screaming horrified. 

Someone grabs my wrist. They pull me away from the crowd and the sight of Jake and Cierra. "Who are you?" I question as my heart races. 

"My name is Lily and it appears that we are the only two people who are not insane and I am gonna help you get your friend!" she exclaims still holding my arm tight as she pulls me. 

We arrive upstairs as Cierra is now dangling as Jake dropped her. Her fingers are on the window slipping away. Jake is passed out on the floor completely knocked out, Lily runs to check on him. I run towards Cierra put she slips and you can just here her scream. I stop dead in my tracks. 

The screaming suddenly stops as I walk over to the window scared of what's below. Scared for my friend. I look over the window the party as they all are dead silent. I look down to see nothing. No dead body. No blood. No Cierra. The party chants "Cole" who is the party host as he yells, "I got her". He grabbed her from the window below and pulled her in. 

I sit back as my back slides down the wall in pure shock as I start to hyperventilate and cry. I run my hands through my hair. Lily comes over and hands me a bottle. "Drink this" she says. I chug it. 

After two minutes my eyes squint and are hard to open. I can't even get up. Lily notices and drags me onto some sort of nursing bed. "I will be back" she shouts and leaves the room.

I am barely conscious as someone enters the room. "Who is there...Lily" I yell with the last bit of breath I have. A man with a red X mask walks in and starts to touch me. He gets on top of me. I urge him to get off. I am too weak and pass out from the drinks, heat, and stress. 

My brown eyes open to see me in the back of an ambulance with Kylie hugging me and her head rested upon me. I find myself sitting up and she rises her head to look at me. We make eye contact and as our eyes lock I punch her in the nose. "Help, she is the killer" I shout screaming and kicking. I get up out from the chair and barge my body through the ambulance door. 

My body falls to the grass. My hands grab the dirt. "Help she is going to kill me"! An officer approaches me and helps me to my feet. Kylie gets out of the ambulance and steps down in her combat boots.
