Chapter 11: I Know It Is You

Liv's Point of View

The Carolina skies, the bonfire at the center of the table, the pool being filled by waterfall running down stones and rocks. This evening being important to hear Austin's announcement. Tonight is also the night that he will die. 

In his backyard I wait for others to arrive as Austin is grabbing me a drink. Austin comes from his house and out onto his back patio handing me my drink with a smile. Treating me as if he has done anything wrong. He sits down and enjoys his drink with a smug look on his face. I take a deep breath and let out a sigh before speaking. 

Savoring the moment, savoring the beautiful sunset; savoring the orange almost golden glow, savoring it all before justice is served. 

One more deep breath, then I look at Austin, "I know it is you Austin" he stops drinking and looks directly in my eyes. His mood changes from excited to almost scared. 

"What was me" he asks me trying to sound confused as possible. Now that I have his attention I can finally tell him my plan, my agenda! 

"You are the killer. You did all of this" I say with calmness and seriousness. I drink my drink now with a smug look on my face. 

"What are you talking about I never have hurt anyone!" he claims sitting back in his chair. 

I look down at my bracelet and make eye contact with him once again, "I remember, that night of the storm, the night you killed Cole and Lilly and almost killed me! You took of your mask! I woke up in the hospital acting as if I forgot but I never did forget" I reply adjusting myself in the chair. 

He slams his fists into the table making our glasses shaking and even spill a bit onto the table. "Fuck you, I can kill you now and no one and I mean no one will know your fucking gone" he yells. 

I start to let out a laugh and then smile at him. "No, no that will not be necessary" I claim looking back at the sliding glass doors. 

"Woah, woah Bro calm down" Jake says with a smirk and a walk of confidence holding a bat in his hands. 

Kylie smiles at him, "Yeah however, the second day she woke up and told us all about you fuckface and revealed the plan to end you. It all started when all's Jake and I had to do was get Brook away from you for lunch" she says sitting down. Jake still holding his bat. 

"And I knew you would not leave because you needed to listen to me if I woke up which I did" I say smiling enjoying the confidence that I lost. 

"Fine you got me, but what about Brook I need to be a father to my child" he yells in rage. 

"What child?" Brook appears from the balcony and walks down. "Sorry baby but I was never pregnant, you lied to me" I look over to see the devastation in Austin. His heart must be broken but it makes me feel good. 

"Well when I told you I thought I was, the pregnancy test came back positive, but then after Jake and Kylie told me I felt sick and took three more and all of them came back negative. I only kept this whole thing going as distraction in hopes you would stop your killing" Brook adds and sits down in a chair. She puts her feet on the table and looks so at ease and calm. 

"Fuck you Brook I should have killed you, but anyway your wrong I killed Madison, she's laying down in the woods somewhere dead. So fuck you" he shouts now getting very angry as if he is about to snap. 

We all laugh at him, Madison pokes his shoulder and he turns around, the look on his face is priceless, so shocked and confused. "How?" he yells, veins start to pop out of his body. 

"I had a vest on duh, you should of checked me, I guess we just outsmarted you bitch" she says with a smirk. 

"Oh yeah and was wearing a go pro so we have you, it was a bonus you took off your mask" I add. 

"I can still win, they can all die, I'll get my new life" he keeps repeating. 

"Your a psychopath" I yell at him. 

In the midst of the chaos Austin looks at Kylie takes a knife had hidden and throws it at her throat making her hold her throat as blood oozes and pours out. She gags and can't breathe as she falls to the floor with Jake trying to aid her. He grabs another one and aims towards Madison but I take the gun I had hidden. 

I let out, "Fuck you" and shoot him in his stomach making me fall back breaking the chair on impact. We all run over to Kylie to try to stop the bleeding. 

"No, no, no" Madison says pacing scared with her hands on her head. Jake places his shirt on her neck as I call 911. 

In all the chaos I talk to the operator and then hang up. Suddenly it grows quiet. Everything stops however the Carolina skies are still present, and the fire is still crackling. Kylie becomes lifeless, her eyes glazed open looking up at the pretty sunset colors. "Come on Kylie stay with me" he tries everything but he stops. He kisses her forehead and holds her tight. He breaks down and cries. Tears begin to pour out of my eyes. 

In rage with his bat Jake smashes everything around him. He smashes glasses, bottles, and then we hear sounds and see movement coming from Austin's body. Jake gets on top of him and one by one he lets punches fly onto Austin's face. Suddenly offices barge in pulling Jake away. EMT's and doctors try to aid Kylie. Police officers take Me, Madison, and Brook away and cover us with blankets and lets us sit in the back of an ambulance. 

The officers place Jake in the back of a car to calm down. It is pure chaos. That's when we here "There is a live one" we all look and are hoping it's Kylie on the stretcher. But all of our hearts shatter when we see the killer, Austin laying on stretcher. Which is followed by Kylie in a body bag. We all break and cry how did everything go wrong. She should not have died it should have been me!
