(BRO U SHOULD DO ONE OF THEM RAISING MADI TOGETHER IN AN AU OR SOMETHING )
I wanted to take this idea and kinda show their entire lives through it. It was kinda difficult for me to sort through my ideas, but breathingblake helped me to sort through some of them, so I want to thank you for that!
I also want to thank BellarkeSwolo2199 for creating the beautiful pieces of art that are featured in this story. She's such a talented writer and artist and I'm so glad to have her work in my book!
I hope that I did your idea justice! Let me know your thoughts!
Enjoy the fluff and protective Bellamy :)
——————————————————————————-Meeting Bellamy Blake was nothing short of a miracle.
Clarke's life was in absolute shambles. Her mother in a rehabilitation facility for drug abuse, her father murdered, her best friend dying in a car accident. Everything around Clarke was falling apart. She was desperate for something worth living for. She needed something to help her feel alive. That's why she found herself in a bar in the middle of Arkadia, drinking her sorrows away.
Clarke had plenty of people, both male and female; approach her at the bar, trying to get her to go home with them. But she had no desire for any of that. All she wanted was to drink and feel numb. The bartender; a tall man with golden skin and curls that cascade across his forehead, looked at her in concern.
"Don't you think you've had enough princess?" He asks leaning against the bar with his elbows on the counter.
"If I wanted your opinion I would have asked. But the only thing I'm asking you for is drinks, so keep em' coming... Bellamy? Interesting name." Clarke says, as she stirs her drink with the tiny straw.
"Oh yeah and what's your name princess?" He says, arms crossed.
"Clarke." She says, raising her brow at him.
Bellamy scoffs, "you say my name is weird? You have a dudes name." He smirks.
"You're an ass." Clarke says, but she can't help but laugh.
Seeing her laugh, causes Bellamy to smile slightly. He wasn't expecting that kind of reaction from her. He half expected her to stand up and throw her drink in his face, or smack him. Anything but laugh. But seeing her laugh, it drew him in, made him want to know more about her.
So that's exactly what he did. They sat down next to each other and talked for hours. She told him all about her family life, and how her best friend died in the car that she was driving. He told her about his father abandoning him, and his mother becoming an alcoholic, who brought home men who did nothing but push her around. How she had a kid with one of them, and he would beat them until they would pass out. How she died, and he was left with a young sister to raise all on his own.
They bonded over the terrible lives they've had at the hands of their parents. They connected over their pain.
Later that night, he took her home, but they didn't do anything more than hold each other. Finding solace in each other's comforting arms.Friendship with Bellamy Blake was nothing short of difficult.
Don't misunderstand, it was wonderful, like every moment spent with him. But it was also painful. Pining for your best friend, watching him do the things he loves, watching him take care of his sister, even though she doesn't need him to anymore.
She knew she fell in love with him the moment they met. But she didn't know if he felt the same.
So when he came to her and kissed her, and told her he loved her; she reveled in it, thanking her lucky starts that the universe was on her side for once.
