Song for someone else

Clarke is a singer / song writer, Bellamy is her best friend and roommate who she's in love with. He finds himself  bartending at a bar that does open mic nights... not knowing that Clarke would be there to perform;)

Once I heard this song that Eliza wrote I knew I had to write a one shot based off of it. I hope you guys enjoy!

Clarke sat back against her couch in frustration, staring at the book of songs on her lap. She's been trying to figure out what she would write for weeks now. Normally song writing wasn't hard for her, but recently she just hasn't been feeling motivated.

"You okay Princess?" Bellamy asks from the corner of the room as he finishes up dinner.

"No; I'm the most untalented songwriter on this team." She replies as she saunters over to their dinner table.

Rolling his eyes, he brings the plate of chicken adobo in front of her. "I think we both know that isn't true Clarke, don't be so dramatic."

Clarke signs and looks at her best friend sitting across from her. They moved in together fresh out of high school trying to get a fresh start. He was her best friend in every sense of the word. But that doesn't stop her from being in love with him. Every time she sees him, he takes her breath away. He's the most gorgeous person she's ever laid her eyes on. Not only is he good looking, but he's also a good person. Probably the best person she knows. He's always been there for her through everything.

They became friends in high-school, after a intense rivalry which was based on misunderstandings and assumptions. Once they got their heads out of their asses, and saw that they had a lot of things in common with each other, they were inseparable.

He was there for her when her father died. He held her every time she cried, when she was too depressed to eat; he would come over and cook for her and sit with her until she took a few bites.

He was there for her when her relationship with Finn blew up. When she found out that she was the other woman the entire two years she was with him. He even went as far as to beat the crap out of Finn when he wouldn't stop harassing her.

That was when she started to truly develop feelings for him. He was just so kind and gentle with her. She couldn't help but feel something for him. But when she finally worked up the nerve to tell him, he started dating Gina.

Gina was literally perfect. She was kind and beautiful and one of the most dedicated human beings she's ever met in her entire life. There was no possible way that Clarke could hate her.

So; trying to move on from her little crush on Bellamy, she met a girl named Niylah. Things were good for a while, but Niylah never wanted things to get serious between the two of them. Clarke felt like she wasn't good enough. And of course, Bellamy helped her through that too.

When Bellamy and Gina broke up, Clarke was there for him, and helped him through it just like he helped her. They spent all of their time together, and she thought that maybe something was finally going to happen between them. But then she met Lexa.

Lexa took Clarke by surprise. She was a bombshell. She stole the attention of everyone in the room, and Clarke was drawn to her for some reason. But Clarke loved Bellamy. She was going to tell him, but when she tried, he pushed Clarke towards Lexa saying that Clarke should go for it.

So she did. No matter how much it sucked to feel like she wasn't wanted by the one person she couldn't get out of her head.

She dated Lexa for a while. But Lexa wasn't all that amazing. She talked down to clarke a lot; made her feel like she was inferior to her ex Costia . Then one day, Clarke walked in on Lexa and Costia having sex in her bed.
