Destiny
I looked out the window as the sky began to turn a dark shade of gray. The leaves began falling gracefully off the trees from the heavy winds. As i was admiring the sight, Jacob's voice sounded beside me.
"Des? Are you okay?", he asked, glancing in my direction. "Yeah,, im just thinking.", I muttered, looking back outside of the window. "About what?"
"Zayn. I miss him so much.", I whispered, watching as tiny raindrops pattered against the window. "Do you want to go see him?"
"Yeah."
The ride was pretty silent, almost too silent . The radio played in the background but yet it felt so quiet in the car.
Jacob pulled into a nearby parking space and I stepped out. I looked up at the dull sky as the raindrops pattered onto my face. I looked over at Jacob to see him staring at me. He quickly looked away as i looked at him. I looked down before walking into the building.
"Hi, we're here to see Zayn Malik.", I informed the front desk lady. Her hair was platinum blonde and even though her head was down, i could tell her face was caked with makeup. And i was right. She looked up at me, popping her gum before lazily typing in what was supposedly zayn's name.
"Room 113. If doctors are in there, don't go in."
I looked back at Jacob to see his face wrinkled in disgust and....fear? We walked past the double doors and I spoke up to Jacob. "What's wrong? You look like you almost got hit by a car.", I mumbled, keeping my eyes in front of me.
"Did you not just so the clown that we just encountered? She looked scary as hell.", he exclaimed, making me laugh.
We made it to Zayn's room and I took a deep breath before stepping in. The second I peeked around the corner, I saw the love of my life, laughing and smiling at the TV in front of him. My heart warmed at the sight. His pink succulent lips weren't cut anymore. He was sitting upright in his hospital bed and he didn't have many wires in him anymore.
"Hey Zayn.", I exclaimed happily, before his heart monitor sped up and he looked at me.
"Des!", he said, his eyes wide. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around him, squeezing him tightly. He pulled away and grabbed my neck, connecting our lips together . It's only been a couple of days and I already miss the warmth that his lips gave me. I missed his lips, his smile, him in general.
"God i've missed you guys.", Zayn whispered, rubbing my belly and smiling. "We've missed you more.", I whispered back, pushing back a couple of strands that fell into his eyes. We broke our mini embrace when we heard Jacob clear his throat.
"Hey Jake."
"Hey. How you holdin up?", Jacob asked, sitting on a chair beside me.
"Pretty Good. The doctor said that i get to come home today since im healing quickly. Sadly he said no heavy movement.", he said, looking at me sadly. "Damn it.", i mumbled, making him chuckle. "But in a few more days, I'll be as good as ever as long as no swelling comes. They have me on some medication thats heals it and takes the pain away."
Just as Zayn said that, the nurse came in and she was beautiful. She had long brown hair just like mine except hers was pulled back into a ponytail. She had drak green eyes and light makeup on.
"Hello Zayn, i've come to change your bandages!", She called before coming around the corner. "Oh..hello!", she said with a smile as she saw me and Jacob.
"Hey.", we called out again, but mine a little quieter. "I have to change your bandages really quick and then go get your paperwork so you can get out of here!", she exclaimed happily, but almost too happy.
